There was tremendous curiosity over the Best Actor of the decade award this year at the IIFA and Shahrukh Khan has been awarded the coveted trophy for his performances in Chak De India (2008), Devdas (2003) and Veer Zaara (2005).
SRK over the last decade has managed to maintain his position as one of the top actors in the industry and at the age of 44, the actor shows no sign of slowing down. His list of upcoming films include Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan, Superhero film RA – 1, Farah Khan’s Happy New Year and Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2.
The other top contender for the Best Actor of the decade award, Hrithik Roshan, missed out on the decade award but won the Best Actor of the year award for his fabulous performance in Jodha Akbar.

i think srk is perfect condiate for best actor of the decade… Amir have also given some great movies in this decade… but people says that srk act only as a lover boy…. but what he have done in chak de india.. no one else can do that role….not big b also..swadesh…was a great movie….for indian history …..and devdas…kkkg..

SRK or Hrithik doesnt deserved the best actor in 2003. The actor who should had taken the black lady should had be Salman Khan for Tere Naam, the film was amazing. Tere Naam is the most romantic films i ever have seen in industry after Mughale- Azaam, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Maine Pyaar Kiya, Saajan, Sanam Bewafa and Sholay. The film Tere Naam brought tears to eyes. What a tragical story, faboulous and outstanding. Filmfare is unfair chosing who actually deserve the best actor award in particuarly year. They have done many misunderstanding, giving black lady to actor who doesnt deserve ex: like SRK and Hrithik.
Devdad was thrash not worth anything, poor history. SRK doesnt deserved either in 2004 for Swadesh, the film was major faliure at box office, the history of film was thrash. SRK even dont deserved filmfare best actor for DDLJ, the film was booring, one of the booring film i ever have seen in the industry. SRK doesnt deserved the best actor even in Dil To Pagal Hai, it was thras and bullshit., poor romance and comedy film. He even doenst deserved in Baazigar, My Name is Khan, Dabangg wa far more succesfull and economically better at box office than MNIK.
And the biggest failure Filmfare award has done was to give SRK best villain in Anjaam, he sucked in the film, and his performance was not good enough to get Best Villain.
The film he actually deserves black lady for is in to be honestly is : Kabhi Ha Kabhi Naa(best actor critics), Best Male Debut for Deewaana, Best actor for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Chake De India.
