Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who has successfully achieved what he dreamed of, says he will work till people want to see him on screen.
“I feel I was in the industry at the right time and I am very proud and thrilled that lot of things are changing with the films,” Shah Rukh, 47, said during a press conference of Nerolac Paints, where he launched its new initiative “Change The Paint”.
“When I came in (Mumbai) that time it was only about romantic films. Now things are changing and the journey has been great. I will keep working till people want to see me,” he added.
In a career spanning two decades, the actor has achieved whatever he dreamed of. He says an individual should keep dreaming, but at the same time shouldn’t move away from reality.
“Everyday a new dream is born. It is nice to keep on dreaming. I dream to make different films, I want to see my kids healthy. But I feel you have to be rooted in reality before dreaming. Believe in reality at the first place and get your education first,” he said.
“Right now I am in a position where I can afford to do anything but when I just started off that time my dream was to have a house, car and everything,” he added.

@since u have not studied above class 2 let me tell u JTHJ had more hype then Talaash, a more money genrating Genre then Talaash…Yash chopra sympathy …plus Katrina- budhha pairing …Yash Raj Productions itself and whats d difference only 11 crores hehe…Dhoom will show u how this difference is extended by 110 crores…..Talaash released with no open week ….it had major fight with Khiladi 786 whose music was super popular…Talaash was made at budget of 40 …while JTHJ at 50 so only 1 crore is the actual difference lol….get a life …only Salman is ahead of Aamir ….srk is not even in top 3 …
Guyz there is no doubt that srk time is near to quit bollywood coz he doesn’t like to loose but don’t forget every actor time comes Dilip kumar,rajkapoor rajesh khana etc Srk is no different even salman,hrithik ajay,akshay etc time will come atleast show some respect to a man who has entertained us for many,many years. @deepu either u were not alive between 90-2008 or u were blind…bcoz the stars u mentioned were giving blockbusters during this phase….HAHK, Biwi No 1 , No Entry, k2h2, Karan Arjun, Lagaan, RDB, Fanaa, Rja hindustaani , gaddar ek prem katha, Border etc were all released between this period only..Aamir and Salman along with Hrithik have been a powerful draw at the box office since start of their career….Newsweek declared him so should we also declare him lol…he is bigger then BO haha thats the statement u expect from a lost fan…how has lost the battle …when your star is struggling at BO these statements will come ….srk is struglling from 99 onwards …he has not given an ATBB since 99 thats more den 13 years …which is more then 65% of his career…dont fool people

CERTAINLY A NOT-SO-GOOD ACTOR NOW. HE SHOULD RETIRE AT 50. HIS PERFORMANCE IN BAAZIGAR, DDLJ, DIL TO PAGAL HAI, KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI, MOHABBATEIN, KAL HO NA HO, VEERY ZARA ETC WERE SUPERB BUT AFTER HE TOOK BRAKE FROM FILMS IN 2008, HE BECAME A NOT-SO-GOOD ACTOR.
NOW HIS FILMS GO A HIT BECAUSE OF BECAUSE OF HIS OLD STARDOM, HIS FILMS DON’T HAVE SUCH A GOOD STORY EVEN. NOBODY KNOWS THAT WHICH GENRE’S ACTOR IS HE AND THAT’S A BAD THING AS MANY WOULD THINK HE IS GOOD IN ACTION, DON 2, OR ROMANCE, JAB TAK HAI JAAN, OR FICTION, RA-ONE OR SOME VERY GOOD STORY, KAL HO NA HO ETC. EVERYBODY HAVE THEIR WON OPINION AND SRK FILMS ARE NOT PUTTING EVERYTHING. RA-ONE DIDN’T HAD A GOOD STORY, DON 2 DIDN’T HAD MUCH ROMANCE. AND HE SHOULD HAVE CHANGED HIS GENRE SLOWLY, I MEAN HIS LAST FILM WAS RAB NE BANA DI JODI, ROMANTIC FILM, AND THEN HE JUMPS TO FICTION.
SALMAN IS ALSO STUCK TO ONE GENRE AND THAT IS ACTION, BUT HE DOES CHANGE HIS GENRE ON THEN RIGHT TIME LIKE CHANGING THE GENRE WHEN HIS FILMS GO FLOP. AT THE START OF HIS CAREER, HE APPEARED IN A ROMANTIC FILMS THEN ACTION. WHEN HIS FILMS BECAME FLOP HE CHANGED TO MORE OF A FAMILY. HUM AAPKE HAIN KAUN, HE EVEN DOES COMEDY LIKE PARTNER. ANOTHER WAY TO CHANGE THE GENRE IS TO FIRST PUT A LITTLE OF THAT GENRE WITH YOUR ORIGINAL GENRE. HE RETURNS WITH ACTION IN WANTED, NOT SO ROMANTIC, THEN HE PUTS MORE ROMANCE IN DABANGG BUT ALSO ACTION. THEN HE MAKES A COMPLETE ROMANTIC AND ACTION FILM EK THA TIGER. IN DABANGG AND DABANGG 2 HE PUTS UP COMEDY AS WELL AND NOW IS GOING TO DO NO ENTRY’S SEQUEL, MEANING ALL COMEDY, KICK, ACTION COMEDY ROMANCE, RADHE OR MENTAL, ACTION PROBABLY.
THAT’S HOW ACTORS SHOULD CHANGE THEIR GENRE. SRK IS MAKING ACTION COMEDY ROMANCE WITH ACTION OF ROHIT SHETTY MEANING REAL SUPERHERO TYPE ACTION. OPPOSITE OF ORIGINAL SHAHRUKH KHAN. SRK WAS THE MOST PROFITABLE ACTOR OF THE 2000-2010 BUT WOULD BE THE MOST NON-PROFITABLE FROM 2010-2020 IF HE DOESN’T STICK WITH ON GENRE, AAMIR ALSO CHANGED HIS GENRE ONCE FROM ACTION, GHAJINI, TO COMEDY-DRAMA , 3 IDIOTS, WHICH WAS SUCCESS BUT AGAIN TO SUSPENCE-DRAMA, TALAASH, WHICH DIDN’T CROSSED EVEN 100 CRORE.
Srk idiot mate the problem with srk is he looks older and doesn’t have the same spark or fire to do romantic roles anymore at the sametime he hasn’t taken care of his body and his body gets smaller and smaller each day so can’t do action movies like Dabangg or agneepath etc which are in big demand at the moment. So now he has become very limited actor. If you see history when dilip kumar or Amitabh or rajesh khanna when they were going through bad phase of their career they used to take break from bollywood and comeback after 3-4 years to prolong their careers same like Rajni kanth who does films after 3-4 years but srk doesn’t have that option
@Anil uperker: aamir had 2 flops? You mean you are including dobi ghat? It’s collected twice of its cost, then how come it’s a flop? And on top of all why are you including a non commercial movie with the likes of a jthj? Is this how you value the movie jthj?
@ruler dhobi ghat was economical success there is nothing new in today’s time. Every movie recover its cost through various sources. By that logic paheli was super hit. Even taran adarsh had tag it average base on theatrical revenue. I know talash is not flop. But considering Amir’s popularity nd who is coming after mega success of 3idiots it shud hv done at least 120 cr. forget about lifetime its opening day collection hv not even touch to 3idiots opening day. But this niks is blabbering in each nd every srk article that irritates me. Y he hate so much. None of these actor will give him single penny if blindly support to his idol nd hatred to other. this only lead mentally sick.
@anil uprekar haha so u couldnt find on internet that Talaash was a flop haha …and coming back to 120 crore question …Talaash had to exceptional in terms of its content to cross 120 crores bcoz it was not released on a holiday (which clearly means it lost 14-15 crores in a day) …plus marketing of the movie was at its lowest…film had already been postponed from june to dec…plus Khiladi which was masala movie was released a week after…how on earth do u expect a movie to do 120 crores with so many obstacles? 3 idiots was released 3 years back not 1 year back…srk released his movie every year why didnt he cross 130 crores ? is their different yardstick for every actor? Talaash was not masala movie at all
@paheli was 15 times more expensive then DG…theatrical business is counted towards the success of the movie in India other revenues…You want to see Aamir cross 120 crore to prove he is magician at Box office…I can bet that Dhoom 3 will do 175+ crore otherwise i wont be posting on indicine anymore….
