Dusky beauty Deepika Padukone is happy that she got to relive the classic “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” (DDLJ) moment of chasing a train with superstar Shah Rukh Khan in her forthcoming release “Chennai Express”.
Deepika will be seen catching a train a la Kajol in the 1995 blockbuster.
“I got to live the DDLJ moment with Shah Rukh,” the actress told reporters at the launch of Vogue Eyewear’s first ever Indian communication campaign Tuesday.
If SRK’s screen name in DDLJ was Raj, he was called Rahul in another blockbuster “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”.
“The fact that while growing up it is every girl’s dream to romance Rahul and Raj on-screen, I got an opportunity to do that as well in the film,” said the 27-year-old, the brand ambassador of Vogue Eyewear.
Deepika wishes to gift optical frames to Shah Rukh with whom she made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with “Om Shanti Om”.
“I would give him optical frames because I know he wears specs. He wears reading glasses. I will pick something for him…That’s something I can gift him,” she said.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, action-comedy “Chennai Express” is slated for a Aug 8 release.

actually that train chasing scene is a benchmark in bollywood….recently , the same scenario was repeated in yjhd too, with ranbeer nd deepika….so everyone is trying to revive that romantic moment in their films, but believe me, that is unmatched…there is no match for ddlj or any of its particular snaps….bcoz unique pieces r created only once….!!!!
Yes that train chasing scene is indeed like a dream bcoz in real life if the train starts once and catches speed then even PT Usha will find it difficult but bollywood actress like Kajol and Deepika r fast runners and Srk shoulders are very strong to pull them in.lol
The train chasing scene of DDLJ was very funny and in “Son of Sardar” they made fun of this scene in which Ajay does the same and Sonakshi fires him by saying that can’t u pull the chain and stop the train.Height of insult.lol

@sachin11.. that scene of SOS was formed because sonakshi’s weight.. don’t u know??? initially they planned to copy the scene of ddlj.. but because of sonakshi’s over weight.. ajay failed to pull her in after 50 takes.. so finally director decided to make fun of that scene.. ”angoor nhi mile, to angoor khatte hain” :P

I love dee but DDLJ is a movie they cant make one like it again in 1000 year , it was like magic , whenever you watch it u start to love raj and semi all over again , it was like a dream, boylwod best movie ever. SRK & Kajol are a golden couple no one can match them.
i loved CE train chasing moment , there was raj with k3g name ‘rahol’ , yea i missed kajol alot, but dee is the best 1 to refresh that moment with :)
