In an exclusive interview, Salman Khan talks about his health, future film and the record breaking collections of Ek Tha Tiger!
On his health and why he can’t make excuses
I am the Tiger, I can’t make excuses like ‘I am unwell, I can’t do it. I have done all the things like running, beating, falling, jumping from one place to another.. if you are physically fit, you can perhaps do all this. But it takes a lot of toll on your body as you are doing the same thing the whole day.
On his future plans
I am doing a romantic film soon (Sooraj Barjatya’s next). Action is very tough.. One has to get up at odd hours, like early morning, to do action films, work till late night, do action in worst conditions like in hot weather, fighting on rooftops and dirty places. It is difficult.
On the record breaking collections of Ek Tha Tiger
The exact collection starts from single screens and multiplexes in cities and small towns. With ticket prices and number of theatres also increasing, the films are likely to do a huge amount of business. Soon, this Rs 100 crore will be like Rs 10 crore. And talking about the overseas business, who knows what business the film is exactly doing in overseas? Once the distributor starts giving actual figures, the numbers will definitely go up.

Aha! Ha ha ha srk fans beware. Till now salman concentrated only on action movies, now he is going to do a romantic movie so what will happen to brand srk? Till now srk has remained the king of romance doing some successfull romantic movies, but with the kind of midas touch and red hot form that salman is at the moment, if he does a romantic movie with a good script and cast, then his romantic movie could well become a bigger blockbuster than his ‘Maine pyar kiya’ & ‘Hum apke hai kaun’. srk will not only be losing his tag, but he would be literally losing his face and that would be ‘the beginning of the end of srk’ but i personally want salman to continue with his action masala entertainers because he has now become ‘larger than life’ superstar and bollywood’s ‘muscular hardcore action hero’ and no one has that status. Now a days even sharman joshi’s good romantic movies can make good collections. so please salman show some mercy on srk and let him do his romantic movies with karan j (as srk cant do anything other than romantic), atleast for his children’s sake or else srk will have to retire early from bollywood to play or coach in his own ipl team kkr.
