After the huge success of ‘Aashiqui 2’ in 2013, producer Bhusan Kumar had announced the third installment of this musical blockbuster franchise. He had also revealed that the next part of Aashiqui will be made with two relatively unknown faces and it would be releasing in April 2016.
But now if the latest reports are to believed, Aashiqui 3 will have one of the most popular faces in the country. According to a report on Times of India, Bhushan has approached Hrithik Roshan for the third part of Aashiqui.
Though there is no confirmation from any official source, the report suggests that they discussed the project during the shoot of ’Dheere Dheere Se’ song, which was recently shot in Turkey.
Well, if Hrithik has really signed this film, Aashiqui is surely going to be built into an even bigger franchise.
If its true then its a very bad choice

Aashiqui 2 was a average movie for me honestly . But the songs were absolutely magic . Also i liked the performances of Aditya and Shraddha . I am waiting to see Dheere Dheere Se on 17th August . I have read many rumours about Hrithik’s future movies . Have a look :
1. Thug – Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya ( Director of Tashan and Dhoom 3) . – Produced by YRF .
2. Bazaar – Directed by Nikhil Advani (Director of KHNH, Salaam – e – Ishq, Patiala House, CC2C, D – Day, Hero and Katti Batti) . Produced by Balaji Films .
3. Kabir Khan’s Next movie Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala starring Hrithik Roshan and Jacqueline Fernandez .
4. Aashiqui 3 – Produced by T – Series starring Hrithik Roshan .
I hope out of all these rumours i hope 2 movies happen Thug and Kabir Khan’s next movie . I will be happy if Hrithik is a part of A3 but it should be directed by Some other director not Mohit Suri and it should be a mature love story and not too melodramatic . Hrithik will definitely take Aashiqui Franchise to an altogether different level just what he did with Dhoom . Dhoom was a Hit in 2004 . Dhoom 2 was a Blockbuster in 2006 and was the Highest Grossing Movie of India for 2 Years before Ghajini broke the record in 2008 . I am waiting for the official announcement on any project soon . There have been a lot of rumors about Hrithik’s next movie after ‘Mohenjo Daro’. He’s rumored for YRF’s ‘Thug’ alongside Deepika, a Sajid & Kabir’s next alongside Jacqueline, a Rob Cohen’s Hollywood project, Shankar’s ‘Robot II’ along with Rajni sir, his father’s next based on a motivational human messiah, a Karan Malhotra/Johar’s next (possibly Immortals of Meluha), and a few more. Nothing has been confirmed, though.
As of now, he’s only doing ‘Mohenjo Daro’.
Even, if he’s been approached for Aashiqui 3, he will reject it for sure, at least I hope so. He should only look to raise the bar even higher after Mohenjo Daro, which could be an epic movie. He should sign another out-of-the-box, never seen before in India type of movie after ‘Mohenjo Daro’ which would be great for his fans and the development of Indian cinema. Bollywood will never progress if superstars don’t take any risk, because non-superstars don’t have enough star power to take a risk and still guarantee success.
