Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has said the positive reviews for his film ‘Mohenjo Daro’ has ‘pleasantly surprised’ him. The actor said, the film has been getting better reviews than most were expecting.
“I am pleasantly surprised by the positive reviews for ‘Mohenjo Daro’. It is encouraging that we have received better reviews than most were expecting” Hrithik said in a statement.
Hrithik’s first film in 2 years has received a poor response at the box office. The film which was made on a budget of more than 100 crore, has collected Rs 8.87 crore at the domestic box office.

Ok, so won’t go in much detail rather I’ll put the things straight.
Mohenjo-Daro doesn’t deserve such a fierce bashing (both pre as well as post-release). That doesn’t mean it’s a masterpiece but I saw few people comparing it with Bombay Velvet. It is not that bad!
Yeah, it’s slow and at times it irritates you till an extent that you will prefer checking your phone for new notifications rather concentrating on screen. But overall it’s bearable.
However, those who are expecting a Jodha Akbar kind of movie (since it was touted as return of the duo from JA) will surely be disappointed because Jodha Akbar was a masterpiece whereas MJ is an ordinary film with an ‘extraordinary’ performance from Hrithik.
The movie starts with a bang – Hrithik’s fight with crocodile will send a chilling sensation down to your spines and that was the moment, I thought next 2.5 hours are going to be compact and engaging. But as soon as movie rolled down, the script begun to erode.
As expected, Pooja was a complete misfit and even if we exempt her from MJ, that will hardly make any difference.
As far as Hrithik is concerned, he was in top form as usual but I feel Gowarikar didn’t make full use of his acting talent.
The scene where he is selling his belongings (that was his first deal in the market of Mohenjo-Daro) , just observe the exchange of dialogues.
That conversation is so kiddish as if a six year old kid has written them.
Overall, Mohenjo-Daro is neither a visual treat nor a historical saga (though both were promised prior to its release) . It is an ordinary movie with shades of romance and can be watched once if you love watching HRo on big screen or if you have a genuine quest for history based movies.
Rustom – Initially, I thought I made a wrong decision by chosing MJ over Rustom, but few of my acquaintances watched Rustom and their feedback is not encouraging for sure. Though we can’t judge a movie based on the feedbacks coming from a small set of individuals, but even the reviews are not so positive. So I presume that Rustom, too , is in bad shape and hence I have dropped the plans of watching it on big screen.

Ha ha ha. So now the manipulation king is even manipulating the response of Mohen ja daroo le aa. Ha ha ha. This alien boy thinks hin too oversmart. The epic manipulation shivering boy is thinking that his Maha crap Mohan ja daroo le ke aa is now competing with epic All time disasters like yeh lumhe hai bakrapur ke and bombay velvet to become the biggest disaster of all time and this shivering jadoo boy has really lost his mind after epic embarrassment and that too got defeated by flopstar like joker boy who has given number of flops and disasters in his career. Shame shame. I hope this Greek economy manipulator gets into his senses and get well soon.

It’s just a coincidence not the star power of your gobar because he doesn’t have it. I still stick to what I said before hrithik is much bigger star than makkhi. Nothing will change. MD’s opening was low because of poor VFX, poor direction and poor trailer. If your makkhi was in MD then it wouldn’t have opened even 5 cr. But trust me, if HR was in rustom then it would have opened more than 25 cr. So shut up and stay in your collar. Hr is still much bigger star than your tiny actor.

In around 2000 screens with one third of ticket price today and way less promotion a dark thriller offbeat Talaash collected 13 crores while akkis. In terms of ATHG aamir is the king from last 8 years: Ghajinu, 3idiots, Dhoom3, PK
Aamir has the 2nd highest opening days crecord collections just after SRK that too bcoj Aamir does less films
