Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has said the positive reviews for his film ‘Mohenjo Daro’ has ‘pleasantly surprised’ him. The actor said, the film has been getting better reviews than most were expecting.
“I am pleasantly surprised by the positive reviews for ‘Mohenjo Daro’. It is encouraging that we have received better reviews than most were expecting” Hrithik said in a statement.
Hrithik’s first film in 2 years has received a poor response at the box office. The film which was made on a budget of more than 100 crore, has collected Rs 8.87 crore at the domestic box office.

general public reaction is first half is slow and okay not so good but 2nd half is just awesome and really the climax of the movie is paisa vasool but the story is ordinary thats why this movie is getting mixed response ,we had expected a better story from jodha akbar duo but this movie is good and entertaining
arena fight is just beyond awesome and the best action scene in bollywood ever ,i repeat and this movie has one of the best ever climax
don’t know why some people ,actually haters, r saying climax is like tom & jery and game like visuals .Everybody i.e. Neutral people r appreciating climax a big time
But hrithik surely need to improve his choice .His last 3 films including MD received a mixed response ,he can score big with a positive wom

I thing this is a wrongly quoted statement. Reviews are dismal to say the least. No way he can say that but media has surely misquoted him.
Really gotta feel for the man. He may be showing hard to look happy but he must be very broken from inside. Two imp years of his life just went in vain. Film will do nothing to him. His advertisements will reduce his fees will surely reduce and more than that his popularity will reduce. He is very hardworking but somehow is not able to get scripts right since ZNMD. Really needs to re-invent. No expectation from Kaabil as of now. Same revenge story. Also clash with Raees will make it look very weak now.
Just want to know what next will he do. A Romantic comedy maybe. With 0 action. Or may be a patriotic. Or some biopic on sportperson or dance based film etc etc. But should strictly say no to revenge, action, drama. Too much of it is really not working. Hope he comes back with Bang. Still feel he is much more deserving than what he has got as success.

Maybe I mis-read or skipped some reviews of not it was Rustom that had more decent reviews….or then it means He right from time knew the movie script was not good enough…either of d 2 …If not I don’t understand why this statement from him is coming out at this time the movie has been seriously affected by bad reviews?
Nevertheless…I hope he bounces back with a bang! If I were him though I would not even think of releasing his next movie along with either Raees or Badshaoo that will be suicidal!!!

Lets take a moment here and appreciate the opening of almost 20 crores that Fan received considering its dark genre no heroine no song format where a film with universal appeal struggles to reach 9 crores. I think its a huge proof of the stardom that Salman and Shahrukh have achieved and are probably the biggest superstars as far as stardom and box office opening is concerned.
