Talking about his comments on ‘growing intolerance’ in the country, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has now said that he was never a victim of ‘intolerance’ and that he cannot ever complain that intolerance was shown towards him.
When SRK was asked to speak about Aamir Khan’s statement, Shah Rukh said “I can’t comment about anybody else, but I will say about myself. Even when I was giving that interview (to Rajdeep Sardesai), I was very clear that any of us (stars), irrespective of caste, religion, sex.. stars cannot complain about anything. We have received a lot from the nation.. so there is no reason to complain”
“Having said that, I don’t tell this to outsiders, but I tell my children.. if you want to progress, you have told let a few things out of your mind. You should think modern. Understand your work, try to understand people.. don’t decide and decipher on small issues like regionalism or religion”
“These are normal things, which everyone says.. but to take it out of context and say intolerance.. how can I ever complain that there is intolerance to me?” SRK said.

I was a huge Aamir Khan fan but i was hugely disappointed by his comments on intolerance. Atleast SRK is making some sense unlike Aamir. After Aamir’s statement i have decided not to watch his any movie, he has lost one fan.

I seriously don’t know why people have to read between lines. The video clearly states that he did not say people are intolerant on him neither India is intolerant nation. There is a huge difference between
1. India is intolerant nation vs
2. there is intolerance in india.
People’s reaction over media and social network is purely for the first statement while actually he meant only the second one. Whatever he commented is related to limited section of people ( irrespective of division of people, culture) who create chaos to public. I really find it hard to understand what is wrong in that statement and that too when he uttered after being fixed in a position to comment.
To all people who talk against him, honestly think if you guys have not thought or felt bad even once after reading various incidence in newspapers . I’m sure almost all would have vented out on those people doing outrageous act ( I am not specific to any issue here, it could be anything like even son killing the family etc ). For those thoughts do we consider our self as an anti-nationalist?
Also if someone sees a bug U turn in his statement, I would say the problem is only with them for reading between lines and who want to believe that world is dark by closing their eye.
I also want to re-iterate that I’m a fan of SRK as an actor and not as what he is in personal life.
So I generally don’t comment anything which is not related to his acting skills but on this issue, I’m being tempted to do it as I genuinely feel that he is caught on wrong foot and the issue being blown out of proportion
