Housefull 3 is steady at the box office, but the second week collections have been below expectations since it was a open week. The trend suggests the film will fall short of the total of Housefull 2 (116 crore) – the previous film in the franchise which released back in 2012.
The footfalls of the 3rd film will also be the lowest for the series – about 25-30% lower than Housefull 2 (2012) and 10% lower than Housefull (2010).
Housefull 3 has collected Rs 17.5 crore so far in its second week and the film will end Week 2 with net box office collections of around Rs 22.5 crore – taking the total to somewhere around the 102 – 103 crore mark.
The release of Udta Punjab will affect business at multiplexes and Housefull 3 could add around 10 crore to its total, third week onwards.
The film will cross the 100 crore mark on Wednesday, giving Akshay Kumar his 5th 100 crore film after Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore, Holiday and Airlift.

Ask ur actors to release 5 movies in a span on 11-12 month and see how there movies collect…. No actor ever has succeed to maintain back to back success with continous releases. Even Rajesh Khanna s record of 15 hits came within 3 years only. U can see the track record of Salman before Dabangg in 2010, Hrithik in 2010 Kites n Guzarish, SRK released a movie after 4 months of another n u see d result previously also he has flops like Swadesh, Ashoka, Paheli under same circumstances.. So whoever does it no body will be able to give only hits if he does many movies in a year. And even if it is hit it cant be huge grosser all d time. Earlier indicine argued Akshay was working at same speed when he was at the peak of his career, but u have to understand the fact the fact that he cant maintain that peak for so long with this speed. U cant give huge grossers only with ur fans. U need the support of the neutral audience. And neutral audience have the option of choosing between 4 movies of akshay in a year. But for others also in festivals, they are bound to watch d keenly awaited movie. And regarding HOUSEFULL 3 , the movie is a clean hit. Consider a movie as an individual one why u need to compare it with any other the predecessor. If u does that one day will come when 500 cr movie will also be a disappointment for u. If HF3 was blockbuster n HF4 is all time blockbuster. Then waht will be the target of HF5? U see the good part, Akshay has given 2 hits in 5 months to the industry. Rustom will also be a hit looking at its controlled budget.. This is indeed smart move by Akshay. Restrict the budget and make profit with every other movie. U dont always need 200,300 crore movies to be successful.

Some Hrithik fans are busy comparing collections of 2 versatile superstar comedy movies.
