Housefull 3 is steady at the box office, but the second week collections have been below expectations since it was a open week. The trend suggests the film will fall short of the total of Housefull 2 (116 crore) – the previous film in the franchise which released back in 2012.
The footfalls of the 3rd film will also be the lowest for the series – about 25-30% lower than Housefull 2 (2012) and 10% lower than Housefull (2010).
Housefull 3 has collected Rs 17.5 crore so far in its second week and the film will end Week 2 with net box office collections of around Rs 22.5 crore – taking the total to somewhere around the 102 – 103 crore mark.
The release of Udta Punjab will affect business at multiplexes and Housefull 3 could add around 10 crore to its total, third week onwards.
The film will cross the 100 crore mark on Wednesday, giving Akshay Kumar his 5th 100 crore film after Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore, Holiday and Airlift.

Disappointing… Akshay fans are so proud that the film crossed FAN’s lifetime, but remember that H3 had a good promotiong, strong star cast, several songs, and the franchise factor… So with all those elements Akshay still isn’t able to beat RA.ONE or JTHJ ^^

FAN was all around perfect in every way, in acting, cinematography, etc. It was a world class film.
Though I love Neerja and Airlift both of these films had some very bad acting from the supporting/extra actors. They were flawed films.
FAN was flawless and is the only masterpiece of 2016 so far. Haven’t seen Aligarh so can’t comment.
If the story ,songs n acting is good then movie becomes blockbuster.so read n sign the movie otherwise people wil give bad comments.

Mohenjodaro is coming after a long 2yrs gap for Hrithik.
Other actors in this period have contributed 100s of crores at the Boxoffice.
Aamir does less films too but he gives solid films and no. too unlike Hrithik.
Some HR fans have already predicted 1000crs for it,some with little sanity are thinking it should do 300-400crs.
Some brilliant minded intellectual fans are predicting 200-250crs.
I think considering all the factors,mega budget…it should do 200crs+ at the Boxoffice,isn’t it?
Anything below 200 should be considered a disappointment.
After all if kal ka ladka Ranveer can collect 180crs+ with clash with superstar SRK’s big film Dilwale,our Hrithik should easily collect 200+ at least and it’s clashing with a small 70crs star Akki’s movie,so is that even a clash? Oh come on!
Looking at the trend of H3 in the 2nd week till now I can’t see it doing 116 CR . H3 is a clean Hit and will be Akki’s 5th 100 CR Grosser but the problem is it has underperformed and this is something which cannot be denied . Normally you expect Sequels to do more money because they are anticipated and normally are made on a bigger budget and scale . Last year WB failed to enter 100 CR and was a massive underperformer . Udta Punjab will severely dent the collections of H3 even if it is average because it has generated good buzz in the last one week and that should replicate in Multiplexes .

@Saksham, Welcome Back under performer? Not at all. The film was in big trouble, delayed release, production issues because of Feroz Nadiadwala. The lead actors had to invest a part of their acting fee to ensure the film released.
Not only did it exceed expectations on Day 1, it was a decent grosser and recovered investment.
Housefull 3 would only collect about 10-12% more than Welcome Back.
Jungle Book is All Time Blockbuster, all other films are failures.

The thing is My illiterate fans like @Tiger, @Nowin, @Salmana Fan, @NVS bark about other stars due to my recent fluke success which is nothing but fluke due to multiple factors such as South remakes, Masala movies, Kabir babu, eid and many other big festivals, but still my dumbo fans blabber a lot against established superstars and much better actors than me like Aamir, Srk, akshay, hrithik who are way more talented than me. They forget that I was a biggest flop star in last 2 decades. Shame on me and my 2010 born illiterate fans. I will always be remembered as a useless none actor who survived due to South remakes, Masala entertainers and polluting the quality of Indian cinema. Shame on me and my illiterate fans. But still I will be happy if my illiterate fans keep supporting my D grade movies like Sultana, kick 2, Dabangg 3, no entry me entry, and many other upcoming craps and I pray that they keep their support alive otherwise I will go back to my marigold days. I was such a small tiny star in front of this same akshay kumar whom my fans are bashing a lot now a days. My marigold’s life time collections were way less than the opening of Bhul Bhulaiya, welcome, Bhagat bhagoda’a, Namaste London, hey baby, etc. Shame Shame on me.
