Housefull 2 Day 1 – 16 crore likely

Housefull 2 is the second biggest opener of the year after Agneepath. The film has opened to a massive response all over the country – best at North, slightly slower down South – and the collections have improved with each show.

With the night shows now expected to be packed all over (several shows are already sold out), the Day 1 collections are likely to be upwards of Rs 16 crore. The release is similar to Agneepath and Don 2 (Hindi version only), as both the number of screens and shows at multiplexes (due to the runtime) are almost the same. Note: The length of both Agneepath and Housefull 2 are about the same. Don 2 was slightly shorter, hence managed more shows at plexes.

The collections at several centers are similar to Don 2, which managed about Rs 14.5 crore on Day 1. But the single screen collections of Housefull 2 are better than the SRK starrer.

Early estimate / prediction – 16 crore for Day 1.
