Like we predicted after watching Housefull 2 last week, from the way the audience reacted to the film, it looked almost certain to cross 100 crores at the Indian box office. And guess what, Housefull 2 should be the 10th film to join the 100 crore club by the end of Week 3.
Week 1 was huge at 64 crores, even though the film lost about 5-6 crores due to IPL and other regional releases. In Week 2, Housefull 2 has sustained very well on fewer screens.
Below is our prediction for Week 2 and 3
- Week 1 – 64 crore
- Week 2 – 27 crore (2nd weekend should be 18 crores)
- Week 3 – 12 crore
Even with a drop of 70% in it’s third week, Housefull 2 should easily collect 100 crores. Since there are no major releases and the word-of-mouth is very good, it could beat Golmaal 3 as the highest grossing comedy film of all time*
It’s a hat trick of hits for Sajid Khan after Heyy Babyy and Housefull. For Akshay Kumar, it’s a much needed success as his last clean-hit was the first Housefull film two years back.

Akshay is back with a super success of Housefull 2. It should easily cross 100 crore. Due to IPL matches Housefull 2 is still strong. IPL matches won’t affect it’s collections. After that Rowdy Rathore should be a blockbuster which is released on 1 june.
