The A.R. Murugadoss film is a remake of South Indian blockbuster Thuppakki.

What is it with this box office phenomenon, only the producers make the money.
It doesn’t matter if it makes 200cr or not…
Rowdy Rathore made less than Dabangg 2 and yeh jaawani hai deewani but I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more
Now we can say Bollywood only running through south remakes….. yaar they don’t have there story giving only back to back remakes…..I have bored from these remakes

Die Hard 4- old man Bruce Willis takes down a chopper with a police car- if you see Rohit Shetty doing that in Singham 2 you will be the first to call it masala bakwaas- so stop this bottom licking obsession with Hollywood- just yesterday I saw a remake of the A-Team on the tele with Liam Neeson and it absolutely sucked. Original tv series on dvd boxset was way better n more natural looking- easy to follow etc etc. Oh yes thats right Hollywood too love to buy remake rights n spend hundreds of millions of dollars in remaking classics only to make them look worse than the originals but also lose a ton of money. Batman movies of the 90’s were cash drainers n not cash cows.
PS Holidays action scenes are rustic looking n it will appeal to the masses but your point was just pure rubbish.
the trailer looks intresting…!!!!! the main villlian could have been replaced (vidyut jamwal could have been an ideal chice)…the song in the first part of the trailer was also good….. the name of the movie could have been something more meaningful.. now waiting for the trailer of action jackson…. the two actors must try to avoid the clash…holiday is defenitely most awaited movie of akshay kumar in recent yeas…. i think it will defenitely score over action jackson if released on the same date…( but it will be more clear after watching the trailer of action jackson)…. without clash holiday could be the first 150 cr venture for akshay kumar…..

Jai Ho was a not a hit but it was also not an outright flop as on production costs it made money but the market had too high expectations from it. The film adds to success count of Salman Khan which goes to 17 now with only films prior to 2000 not counted.
Akshay still leads the count with 22 successful films since 2000 followed by Shahrukh Khan at 19. Emraan Hashmi is the surprise packet with 11 coverage to paying films since 2000 and features sixth in the list.
A successful film is a film which is average or better. Below are the list of actors with the most successful films since 2000, only counting the actors with who have seen some success lately

Its sure shot block buster..bcoz of master director A.R.M…its orginal version tamil was mega blockuster..but akki’s facial expressions r not gud..
