Akshay Kumar’s Holiday has continued its good run in its second weekend at the domestic box office. The film showed normal drop in business on Friday, with fewer screens and shows. On Saturday, business was picked up all over, especially at high-end multiplexes.
Holiday is likely to collect around 18 crore in its second weekend, to take its all-India total to around 85 crore net in 10 days. The film is likely to cross the 100 crore mark in the next few days.

Collections are average but trend is quiet good. However, Akshay need another hit to overtake Ranveer singh and Arjun kapoor. If Akshay give 14 crs opening with his next film then he cud be ahead of Arjun Kapoor and if Akshay able to give 16 crs opening then he cud be ahead of Ranveer as well. That means if Akshay gave 16 crs opening then Akshay will be above both Arjun and Ranveer.

Holiday is trending well and it will certanly cross blockbuster Jai ho collection. Kick, Bang Bang, HNY, PK will certainly cross Jai ho collection. Singham returns, Bombay velvet, Humshakal, Welcome 2 may or may not cross Jai ho collection. That means at the end of the year probably the so called superstar masala entertainer will be at 10th or 11th position. It never happened that a superstar at his all time peak ( 5 blockbuster behind and 1 year break) delvering just average opening with record screen and lifetime total which will probably at 10th or 11th position.
I think it will take more five days to 100 CR . I am happy that Holiday has maintained very well after 1st weekend . According to me it can cross Jai Ho and emerge as the highest grossing film of 2014 . Fabulous performance from Akki and a Awesome movie . @ Aakash as far as i have heard the budget of Holiday is 60 CR . You can check in Wikipedia also .

@Babaji ka Thullu. Why not Holiday at 1st position? Queen is a good movie but holiday is an excellent movie yarr. There are 4 main reason why I consider Holiday is far better compared to Queen.
1. Holiday is a film about Army officer and Akshay looked convicing like hell
2. Akshay kumar performance is better than Kangana Ranaut
3. Sonakshi Sinha’s role is short but her Chemistry with Akshay Kumar is just superb
4. I have not watched the movie ( Holiday) yet, therefore I think Holiday is the best movie of 2014 so far
