Holiday has done well on its second day at the box office, with business at multiplexes picking up by around 12-15% on Saturday. The growth in business came from circuits like Mumbai, West Bengal and Mysore. Bihar, Rajasthan opened well on Friday and remained steady on Saturday.
Holiday has collected around 24 crore in 2 days and should end its first weekend with net box office collections of around 38-39 crore.
Sunday has begun on a positive note all over, with almost every centre performing better than both Friday and Saturday.
All Akshay Kumar films in 2014 – Special 26, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara and Boss – finished below the 70 crore mark. Holiday looks set to break that trend as the film is almost certain to collect in excess of 80 cr.

Sunday looks much better on all multiplexes and should do 14-15 cr or can go higher to 16-17 cr. hope does well on night show. But lifetime looks not more than 90 crs.
Akshay should pack his belongings and go on a 40 year Holiday with his family with the money he has earned. He does not need to be in bollywood anymore. Lets the superstars do their job.

His knows very well that Holiday is better than other Akshay Kumar stupid comedy movies and is doing well .. with good word of mouth.. his only intention is to give a negative comment and start a debate and he can constantly abuse Akki and have fun.. I would request everyone not to respond to Floppy’s comment on any post in indicine as he is a total nut job and just derives fun by trying to bring down Akki.. I am a huge Akki fan but wont deny that most of his comedy films ever since the stupid CC2C sucked big time… but S26, Holiday,OMG and even Patiala House are nice movies and that deserved to be mentioned.. I am very dissapointed with his upcoming “Its Entertainment”.. looks bakwaas… hopefully Gabbar and Baby will be way better. For now, lets njoy Holiday.. hope it ends up getting as close as 100cr as possible.. :)
Collections r not great… but they r ok… considering trailers n songs were not that attractive.. I guess it will cross 100 cr. Good WOM n 2 open weeks. Movie too is not tat bad… Nice one time watch…. 3/5

After a slow start on Friday,holiday has picked up decently from saturday afternoon onwards in west bengal and is registering very good occupancy today.as I had already said 2 days back that history will repeat itself.holiday will emerge a superhit after a slow start just like omg had emerged

SRK n akki are not self made superstar. Only salman n aamir are self made star.. Some say even if dhoom 3 had a dog instead of aamir it would have collected the same bcoz of being awaited from years. Sometime it happens, When an actor is in momentum, giving hits after hits then his weak film also does good business. but sometimes opposite also happen, for couple of bad movies a good movie also suffer. It called consequence. As an example, salman’s Jai ho suffered for Dabaang 2’s quality. But salman has enough core fan, who go out and watch his movies in theater that why it sill gross 100+ cr. Same thing happen for srk in ra.one and Don2. Otherwise Don2 would do easily 130+ cr. But unfortunately, akshay does not have that much fan following to carry a bad movie to 100+ cr. and he does lots more movies than two khans. IMO, aamir also suffer sometime for not have so much core fans. But still he has enough fans to carry a 90+ cr. and very less negetivity than other two khans and akshay.
