Yash Raj Films have released the poster of their upcoming biggie Dhoom 3, and with that the production house has also revealed the release date – the Aamir Khan starrer hits theatres during Christmas 2013!
With Yashraj officially announcing the date, all the ‘holiday’ / ‘festival’ slots for 2013 are blocked by major releases.

In 2012, every holiday / festival release has crossed the 100 crore mark - Agneepath (Republic Day), Ek Tha Tiger (EID), Rowdy Rathore (Post-IPL), Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardaar (Diwali) have all gone on to be huge grossers. With 65 crores in 3 days, Dabangg 2 is also likely to join the club this week.
No surprise then that the lucrative holiday period has already been taken, almost a year in advance!
Ironically, two superstars Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan are left with no holidays. In the last 3 years, Salman has always ensured that he arrives with an action film during EID. However, in 2013, Balaji Motion Pictures have announced their plans to release their ambitious sequel ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again’ on August 8th. Will there be a clash? If Salman announces his film for EID, will Balaji back out?
When will SRK release his two films – Chennai Express and Happy New Year? Recently, Farah Khan said she was keen on releasing ‘HNY’ during Christmas.. how about Dhoom 3 vs Happy New Year?

Global beverage giants, Coca-Cola, have brought back Bollywood actor, Salman Khan, to endorse their cola drink, Thums Up.
Economic Times reported in a story (read here) that the two-year contract could fetch Salman Khan Rs 18 crores. And also that this was one of the plummest endorsements ever bagged by a celebrity.
The report added that Coca-Cola refused to put a figure to the endorsement deal.
Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar had been signed by Coca Cola earlier this year for close to Rs 12 crore for a 3-year deal.
Salman had been the brand ambassador of Thums Up till ICC World Cup 2003. And till March this year, he was endorsing rival drinks maker, PepsiCo’s brand Mountain Dew.
The report quoted Coca-Cola as saying that it has also signed an agreement with Khan’s charity—Being Human—The Salman Khan Foundation—and will jointly promote, conceive and execute charitable and social activities.
Actor Akshay Kumar had been the face of Thums Up until April this year.

Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan, who is making his television debut as a dance reality show judge, is the highest paid film star on small screen.
The shooting for “Just Dance”, the dance reality show on Star Plus will start next month where the 37-year-old film star will judge contestants along with choreographers Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant.
Hrithik is looking forward to a successful inning on the small screen after his two previous films ‘Kites’ and ‘Guzaarish’ bombed at the box office.
“Only after biggest failures come biggest success,” Hrithik had said at the launch last month. About reports that he is being paid approximately Rs 2 crore per episode, Hrithik had said, “I thought I am paid well.”
But sources close to the actor claim that the Hrithik is indeed the highest paid actor on television. “He gets Rs two crore per episode. Whereas Salman Khan shot for his last TV show only during the weekends and would wrap up two episodes in a single day and take home a pay packet of Rs 2.5 crore,” sources said.
