The first day numbers of Himmatwala are in, and they are a reflection what the critics and the reactions on Social media had us expecting, the figures are below par for a film of it’s size.
The collections at multiplexes in urban centres picked up slowly since the evening primarily due to the next day being a Saturday. Even the wide release (3200 screens) couldn’t help it overcome the impact of the negative reports. The first day nett collections have come in at 11 crore.
The single screen dominated areas like UP, CP Bihar, Rajasthan, Bihar and parts of Maharashtra outperformed almost every other release of 2013. Delhi and West Bengal have disappointed (not surprising since these territories have never put up great figures for Ajay Devgn starrers). Himmatwala’s fate is now solely dependent on the single screen dominated masala loving centres.
The feedback is almost universally negative, and the film will find it impossible to hold up as well as a film of it’s magnitude should have. The day-to-day growth in the weekend numbers is likely to be average. It will get just the normal weekend growth owing to the lack of positive word-of-mouth. Our 3 day weekend prediction for Himmatwala is 36 crore.
yes its true that the 3 khans are in a different league altogether.. nobody can match them.. the real superstars of hindi film industry..
@khankapoor,why did your Ranbir’s best film Rocket Singh grossed less than Akshay’s worst film Joker? Why did Dhobighat get only 14 crores lifetime,while Peepli Live did better than that? Why did Salman Khan starrers film Marigold, Yuvraaj & Main Aur Mrs.Khanna became disasters? Why did the remake of blockbuster south film, Billu could only collect 23 crores lifetime,despite having 3 item numbers each by Deepika, Priyanka & Kareena?
@HRo, even ranbir kapoor’s barfi opening was 8 crores with the screes similar to ZNMD. But hrithik is a way bigger star than ranbir is. that means it kinda underperformed as hrithik starer. and don’t bring up ancient history. even vivek obroy was a big star in early 2000’s. talk about the present where hrithik comes nowhere near salman, shahrukh and aamir.
@sumeet stardom is known by the opening. not from it’s final verdict. so next time when you try to type something, tell something which make any sense. and do you really believe that OUTIMA is beat CE or Mental if they classed? dude, in opening weekend people go to watch salman and shahrukh, not the movie. that’s why still kumars, kapoors or roshans couldn’t surpass ra.one’s or even 3 years old dabangg’s weekend collection.
leave all the …as we now ajay is ajay……he is the only one after salman whose five films had crossed over 100 crores…..in future he will all the records of all film by crossing the remark of 200 crores….nd he will only be the one whose more will cross 100…..critics will not matter for ajay devgan …..the audience will matter for ajay….hero is for the audience as a entertainer
ajays doesnt deals in good dressing nd in good styling ….he only deals in making good movie….as far as himmatwala is concernd ,,it is good entertainer movie…

Listen past is past and present is present and present time bollywood is nothing without 3khans. And k3 a non holiday release col 30cr, hro fan are totally mad, even i am srk fan never think if ouatim2 and ce clash same date the ce max col 20cr or not. It is sure that ce get positive word of mouth then it easiliy cross 150cr. Ouatim2 also cross 120cr. But people are not crazy for hritic like khans, even sequle of atbb d2 opening day 19cr and bhai jaan is in the lead role and you think hritic beat bhai jaan. Keep it in your dream. K3 opening day max 15cr if accept then weekned max 50cr nothing more that you know sunday is a diwali puja. And k3 max col 145cr, its my prediction, mental max col 180cr, ce max col 160cr and d3 easili cross 200cr. You can see me next year amir khan is coming now, srk comes with a romantic journey with ce.

Romance express,khan kapoor:i understood ur problem,only weekend matters to u,most awaited sequel,xmas season,highest screen count,don2 collected less than akshays rr,which is not a sequel,less no of screens.amir khan most awaited release after 3 years ,failed to score more than akkis comedy film hf2 in weekend and lifetime.i too agree salman is in his best phase and only bigger star than akki,he cant continue it.akki is giving super hits with low budget movies like omg,while srk and amir struggling to get hit status once in a year and once in 3years.but audience r ready to watch akkis movies for every two months.understand the difference, media is with khans and audience r with akshay.
If one talks abt. Consistency its none other than SRK who maintained it for 20 yrs…. Then comes akshay , salman, amir and finally hrithik…. Hrithik is too young to compete with the leading khans… He should be more perfect in his work to reach that level…..the films surpassing the 100 cr mark by any means are our pride……. We r proud of those films whoever might it be…… It will help expansion of this industry….

Yeah srk face bad phase in his carear but no doubt srk is the biggest star and he will come back with chennai express a romantic journey of two lovers a north indian boy and south indian gir. Yeah srk last 3 films underperformed at bo but all 3 films get blockbuster status in oversease and cross 200cr worldwide. Aki also have one film in 200cr club but hritic have no films in this club.

But fact is don 2 was slick action nd songless movie whereas rr was complete masala. Don’t cry about holiday screen etc. how much k786 open on 2786 screen less than coctail barfi. Nd 4.5 cr less than talash which release on 2700 screen. Though don2 released on Xmas period but both Xmas nd new year fall on Sunday nd didnt help movie. @romance express just like you are saying c.e will collect 165 cr in solo release/150 in clash,Hrithik’s fan are saying it will collect 30 cr on it’s first day.IMO you & diehard hrithik fans are living in fools paradise.BTW here is my prediction c.e won’t collect anything more than 130 cr regardless of word of mouth & K3 will collect 24 cr on it’s first day as it’s a non holiday.K3 will do more business than C.E for sure atlest by 30 cr whatever will be the wom.30 cr in a non holiday is even not possible for Salman starrer atlest this year.BTW I will be more than happy if Aamir tops this year & next year.But Aamir,Hrithik & Salman will be there in top 3 for sure both this year & next year.

this is not super stardom. even ranbir’s last 4 openings are more stable than this. and Boss for your information, when talaash released it almost had no buzz around it. but it collected more than 47 cores in it’s opening weekend where HF2 collected only 42 crores.

@romance express dude I am not a srk hater but yeah am srk fan hater.About mine bo prediction for C.E was only because I know there’s a difference between masala movie vs high classaction movie.So it is bound that K3 & D3 will collect more and Salman at his peak, he will be definitely in top 3.BTW I Hate south style masala movie but the same time I know where It’sstands at BO.It has some limited appeal at bo which won’t cross 150 cr if there is no salman.BTW I would like to see SRK ingood movies as he is a good enough actor.Not in something like c.e or hny.BTW if he will act in good movie than I will be the first one to cheer for him.So am not his hater but his fans hater.Dude basically am a neutral guy so don’t call me anybody’s fan or hater.I love good cinema and Aamir & Hrithik do those kind of movieso i admire them.I like Ranbir as well.
