Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has topped the list of highest taxpayers in Bollywood. The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ star has paid Rs 20 crore as advance tax for the current fiscal.
The second actor in the list is Akshay Kumar, who has a paid 16 crore as advance tax. Akshay is followed by Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
Akshay had four major releases in 2015, which included films like Baby, Gabbar Is Back, Brothers and Singh Is Bling. Ranbir was seen in three commercial failures; Roy, Bombay Velvet and Tamasha. While Shah Rukh Khan was seen in one film Dilwale, which collected nearly Rs 400 crore worldwide.
Salman Khan delivered two of the year’s biggest grossers in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, the combined worldwide collections of the two films crossed the 1000 crore mark.

@Indicine : Please clarify that if according to Forbes list SRK is on top among biggest earners (India celebrities) for year 2015 then how can he is at 4th among Tax payers for the same year ? Usually Tax returns are files from April to March period, as far as I remember SRK did not have any release between Jan-March 2015 and IPL started later in April. Either his income reported on Forbes is not accurate or he is under valuing his income while filing Tax. No matter how many Tax saving schemes and insurances he takes to save the tax he should be among Top 2 tax payers.
