This is the final list of Highest Saturday Collections for the year 2015. The most acclaimed film of 2015, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan tops the list. The second day (Saturday) was a national holiday for Eid.
The second in the list Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, which collected Rs 31.05 crore on a partial holiday in parts of the country. The third highest Saturday is another national holiday for Independence Day, when Akshay Kumar’s Brothers collected Rs 21.43 crore.
When compared to this, the Saturday collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale does look pretty good, doesn’t it? Brothers collected Rs 21.43 crore on a big national holiday without competition from any other film. Dilwale has managed to collect Rs 20.09 crore on a non-holiday with clash and about 20% lower screens. Do we expect too much from the Khans?
The fifth film is ‘Welcome Back’, a franchise film that did outstandingly well in its first weekend. The sixth highest is Bajirao Mastani, a film that has performed very well at the box office, inspite of competition from a very big film.
Overall, it’s not been the best of years for Bollywood. The combined collections of all films on Saturday is Rs 471.92 crore approx. This includes all films – Hindi and major English films

Yes we expect too much but on the contrary we are expecting from Shahrukh Khan a.k.a King Khan…The kind of stardom that he has,don’t u think we have the right to expect big numbers from him..and who said Saturday collections are poor? There are only 3000 screens available plus its a non-holiday.. Also,the festive/holiday period is yet to begin ..now what more do u want? Just because Bajirao Mastani has stood up and given a very good fight to Dilwale,these figures are being referred as below par. Forget about all other external factors, 20-21 crore on 3000 screens are very good especially when these figures are achieved during non holiday

Breaking news and latest news, In Myanmar Yangon night show cancelled of dilwale due to 2%percent occupy. This correct news coz one of my friend(who srk fan) book night show, after he arrived theatre get disappointed. Theatres owner say tomorrow come see because we didn’t want lost money anymore.

@Indicine you’re defending dilwale against brothers as if your life depends on it. Don’t forget that Brothers was Akshay Kumar’s third movie within eight months while dilwale is srk’s only movie of the year. Akshay deserves better holidays than srk, admit it. Also admit that only salman and Akshay can make masala movies work, no one else.
Watched dilwale today with family.I must say there were many moments whn ppl were whistling Specially entry scene,dialouges of srk,srkajol moments.Family,kids r loving the film.
During the release of brothers u were continuously saying that it may not liked by families….. Then don’t u think 21+ is a impressive total …..???

@Shreya It’s aamir who revived masala genre when no masala movies were popular back in 2008 when he cake with ghajini and shattered all records. So your point is baseless. It’s only megastar aamir khan who has been trend setter everytime. Salman just followed aamir and akshay is just struggling to make 100 Cr life time. So better stay in your limits. And it was only aamir who has 2 masala movies ATBBs with ghajini and dhoom 3. So dont make such rubbish logic less statements.
Guys dilwale is underperforming high time..just checked the bookings for dilwale and bm in ncr and the bookings are shockingly low for dilwale whereas bm is having an advance of above 25% and at places even 40-45% compared to 10-12 of dilwale..so i guess it will be curtains for dilwale only the open long run might save it but expect bajirao to inch in closer tomorrow..Next week bajirao can sneak ahead of dilwale..if any doubts check bookmyshow right now..and ncr is one of the biggest region for dilwale and not so strong for bm ideally but still bajirao is doing the unimaginable..and plz guys dont give excuses of shows getting cancelld as both the movies r facing the wrath..so cheers to bajirao

THE reason We Expect more From khan’s is because they do 1 movie per year . Dilwale is shahrukh’s 1st movie after 14 months nd brothers was akshays 3rd movie of D year after just 3 Months …..! Point to be noted . Lots of positive factors 4 dilwale like Rohit shetty,Varun-kirti youth appeal,Universaly appeal genre but brothers doesn’t have much strong factors apart from national holiday …..!
