‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ is now the 13th highest collecting Bollywood film in India, ahead of ‘male superstar’ films like Agneepath, Ra One, Rowdy Rathore, Singham Returns and Dabangg.
The film is almost certain to beat the collections of Salman Khan’s 2011 Eid release ‘Bodyguard’ and also has an outside chance of going past the 2012 Christmas release ‘Dabangg 2’.
It’s also the only movie to cross the 140 crore mark without featuring one of the Top 5 male superstars in the country – Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor.
‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ also joins only two films – Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Bang Bang – that have crossed the 140 crore mark without releasing during the festive seasons of Eid, Diwali and Christmas, when multiplex tickets cost much more.

2. Kkhh- karan and kajol

Forget about Aamir why srk never given all time grosser in overseas except these two banner and even kajol had 5 releases among them, except that srk-madhuri in dtph and devdas failed to give all time grosser.
Srk- Aish failed with devdas and mohabbatein
Srk cdi collections was even lesser than Aamir khan fanaa.
Srk-Anushka rnbdj pair failed to beat kank even after the former released 2 and half year earlier than kank
Srk- deepika failed to surpass all time grosser in overseas despite they have three pure holiday releases.

Srk did a remake of Don which collected even less than Lage raho munnabhai while both released same yar.
Srk Don 2 which is best action film ever described by srkians (though in my life I don’t even know who are even talking about Don series and action while discussing about action movie) collected just 4 million $ despite being best action film suitable to overseas people, foreign locations, Christmas release, a sequal of a remake and brand srk. While ghajini was a pure Indian masala flick and very violent scenes, still collected just 1$ less than srk pure romantic movie rnbdj same year directed by aadi of ddlj,mohabbatein fame.
Now again srk had kajol for dilwale which will be best bet for srk to cross 3i overseas figures.
And its best if we not talking about holiday releases if srk in India and overseas.

Regarding action scenes I think you haven’t seen ghajini, the Aamir look in ghajini enough to make piss in your paints if he stand in front of you, the ghajini & d3 supersucess is reason enough what was response of action scenes. Yes we were laugh when srk beating thangabilla in Chennai express, the negative character in dare was laughable as in the film srk was just beaten and beaten by sunny deol as if he beat sunny the audience would laughed in theatre, comic timing I don’t think srk fans know about comedy because when srk do comedy he saying “hi I am normal,naam to suna hi hoga” or “hello nature,I am calling”. Beta weak comic timing to Aamir ki nahi h and he is definitely way better than srk in comedies. Examples are AAA,3i,RDB,PK etc. Even in DCH he had impressive funny moments in first 2 hrs if film and Ishq to Delhi hi hogi tune Raam Raam Mara Mara, at least talk sensible.

@Sky All the SRk movies you mentioned weren’t the highest grossers of all time but all these movies were blockbusters in overseas.If Aamir is a huge star then Ghajini should have become a blockbuster in overseas too.Despite being a masala movie CE became one of the biggest hits in overseas market.Srk’s Don and Fanaa both released in the same year and Don collected far more than Fanaa i the overseas despite Fanaa being a love story produced by YRF.If OSO is a remake of Karz then PK too is a remake of OMG.I too respect Aamir and some of his movies have had a impact on my life so I won’t bad mouth about him.But I request you to wait for Dangal if the movie collects more than Raees I would gladly accept Aamir as the numero in overseas.

@challa but none of above was all time grossers there, the reason to make srk the biggest there was yrf productions, and at similar time srk-kajol pair who worked great together, now when if you have a production house who get opportunity to show you at worldwide level than it surely work for srk, for example Raj’s Hindustani was collected highest collection in overseas for that year while none of srk film did while it should. Lagaan was the movie which establish Aamir in overseas but he than took 4 year break and when return movies like Mangal pandey,rdb opened very well there, when associated with yrf and popular heroine kajol he get his biggest success in overseas till than the highest grosser was veer zaara which collected 8.4 million so it wasn’t too less, Don was a overhyped due to remake plus a holiday release. With ghajini Aamir able to cross his biggest hit fanaa with 7.5 million $ collection, and if you compare CE with ghajini than it can’t be right because ghajini had too many violent scenes as compare to CE, which can stop family audience and that time rab ne was collecting well there because of totally family oriented affair so collecting against a yrf film in overseas is worthy collection, Ghajini became the 7th highest grosser in overseas till date.After than 3i he doubled the collection of ghajini in overseas, even talaash collected the same as ra 1 did in overseas. After than d3 and pk he is gone step ahead than any others, I don’t think you know that yrf Salaam namaste was the biggest grosser in 2005 in overseas ahead than srk’s paheli, similarly abhishek Jhoom barabar jhoom collected similar to cdi and better than TZP in overseas, So bhai production house matters.
In India srk had given 8 blockbusters and 5 superhits and among his 8 bbs 3 were directed by yrf, 2 with dharma, 1 with Salman KA, than later 2 with deepika oso ad CE, 4 superhits was with yrf production and 1 latest happy new year with deepika. Till 2006 srk had only 4 blockbuster all having kajol as female lead, 4 superhits all from yrf. It matters a lot in srk case though.
OSO was a remake of karz it was even said by reviewers while reviewing the film, the plot though was rescripted of reincarnation theme, the title OM Shanti OM, the opening track was included as a tribute in the film to karz. PK in no way similar to omg just because of the theme is equal. Srk is constantly worked in remake too with devdas, paheli (duvidha remake),Don,oso,Billu etc though some were officials some not.
I seriously oppose when you said what Aamir achieved without Raju and yrf as these things applying for srk much more.

Srk Don series had him negative character and we all know how great memorable that role,ROFL.
