At the PK trailer launch event last evening, Aamir Khan spoke about clashes between two big films and a lot more. A journalist also questioned Aamir on why the trailer of some of his films have released with a Shahrukh Khan film. Aamir spoke about how Shahrukh’s films benefit him, but the media has wrongly quoted Aamir and blown a genuine comment out of proportion.
Here’s exactly what Aamir told reporters yesterday.
Q: When your films release, there are other big films also scheduled at that time. But most of those films tend to make way for an Aamir Khan film, why is that?
Aamir: It happens with every big film. When a Salman, Shahrukh, Ajay, Hrithik film releases, films of all these big stars in the industry, we all try not to come at the same time. We try not to release our films on the same day, so that the audience don’t divide. This is common, every actor wants it (solo release). Even I don’t want to clash against anyone. It’s not like people run away from releasing their films with mine.
Q. Why does the trailer of your films usually release with a Shahrukh Khan film?
Aamir: (laughs) It’s just a coincidence. In the last 5 years, my films have been releasing during Christmas and Shahrukh’s films usually release during Diwali. I am happy about this. Because Shahrukh is such a big star, so popular, people love him so much.. that when his films release, we get that advantage. We can show our trailer with his film. Lakhs of people who come to watch his films, they also get an opportunity to watch our trailer. I am happy that we get advantage because of his films.

AJ will be an entertainer one not like raja natwarlal…mark my word it will be another 100 cr for Ajay.

It is easy to say by using some of words like “crap” or “worst” or any other words by opponent fans. But actors really care for each others movie because they know the value efferts while a making film by each Person involved with it.

Everyone has their own appetite for work..Aamir n hrithik can do 1 film a year while Akki n Salman can do more than 2 films..

i know everything about mass movies. I didn’t say AJ will flop. In fact it will be crowd puller at mass centres. I am just saying if it had some good some good production values, it would have got universal appeal like kick,ce,hny. I like ajay devgn as actor.
Guys just saw HNY and Bang bang. Both movies are very entertaining and good. They both confirm than SRK and HR are two of the best superstars/actors in industry.I was blown away by both of their performances. Both movies have good songs/picturzation, good action, grand feeling (good production values), SRK and HR are in top form, DP is good but Kat kinda underwhelms this time, Abhi is good but no where did he outshine anyone. First half of both movies flow well and have good comedy, but second half of both has good tension/suspense and action. While HNY also had good comedy in 2nd half as well. Danny and Jackie Shroff are strong villians. Bang Bang has more of hollywood feel tho but HNY has more desi feel. Overall good time at the movies.
Negative Points:
Both villans were very good but cud have been more utilized.
Bang Bang first half has a few boring/candy floss scenes typical of Sid Anand. HNY has a few over the top cheezy moments in first half which may/ or may not be liked by non massy audience.
Kat underperforms.
However 2nd half of both are rollicking roller coaster rides.
