Happy New Year has recorded the highest single-day collections at around 46 of the 52 centres that we have received collections from so far. As per early estimates, the film has collected around Rs 39 crore on its first day at the box office, including business from regional versions like Tamil and Telugu – which is a record for the highest opening day collections ever.
The film could challenge the highest collections first day collections in Rajasthan circuit even though the newly introduced entertainment tax has come into effect from August 1st (After first week of Kick, before Singham Returns).
We have compiled estimates for all circuits in India. Do note that these are NOT the final collections of the film. The actual first day collections will be published in the noon.

note- HNY run time 3 hour more than recent and also previous realise and hater please check the calander on 24 there is no hollyday you can’t find red circle on 24 all government office were opened on 24 Oct so its not a hollyday officially it getting only one hollyday which fall on Sunday ok
BOI says that it has collected 38-40 cr for hindi only! looks like night shows were extraordinary with 80-90 parcent occupensy.
I predicted 42 cr n I am sure producer will declare today at keast 42 cr…..I hope today will be 40 cr n tmr 43 cr……
It will cross 40 crores for sure..today is a partial holiday in many parts of the county so the night shows will also run to near packed capacity and today should also be huge..it has always been proved that no one should undermine the pull that shahrukh khan has

Movie length is more den 185 min. Due to which it has 10-15 percent less shows compared to dhoom 3 and kick.
box office india says early estimate of 38-40 crore it means your collection is 44-44cr+

So at least as per the early estimates my predictions are almost correct (37-40 cr) , but I loved to be proven wrong.
Collections are huge and record shattering. That too, on 4500-4600 screens (domestically) . Yeah you read it right. HNY has 4500-4600 screens and not 5000.
Now, by going through all the comments on this page and all other pages of indicine, one thing I concluded that haters can’t be satisfied in anyway. Nothing can be more ironical than this that they are calling a record breaking opening as disappointment. I have spotted certain morons who are only concerned about barking. They just have to spread negativity irrespective of any condition/circumstances. I have drafted my replies for those people and will post it again this weekend.
Also note that WOM is mixed to positive and I have predicted 100-100 cr weekend with 250-270 cr lifetime. And now I’m sure that HNY would cross 200 cr for sure as many were predicting that it would crash from second day onwards.

Guys it has 10-15% less shows less compared to kick n CE. Still hny score 40 crores. That’s absolutely amazing . this shows the star power of srk
If hny will collects less than 40cr, then which is less than indicince hit or flop worst case scenario . :-). Still Singham returns is the biggest holiday opener of the year according to less no of screens and without regional versions. And kick is the biggest non-holiday opener of the year. Dhoom 3 is far ahead of hny..
Just watched it.. The movie is not as bad as I was expecting. In fact, it is quite entertaining. It is more of a showcase of SRK’s previous movies. Farah khan just tried to impress SRK by making him do what people have loved him doing in his previous movies.
Anyway, SRK as always does his best but I still believe that he should do some movies where he can show his acting abilities rather than showing himself off. Deepika is beautiful through out. I would love to see her carrying a film totally on her shoulders in the near future. The supporting cast is good. You can’t stop laughing in some of the scenes. No need to say that leave your brain while watching it and you will enjoy it. For me, it was paisa vasool and a good one time watch. I laughed and got entertained and that’s what paying public asks for. So, go for this one with your families if you just want entertainment.
I will give it 3.5/5 stars.

39.05 good collection.. but still its disappointment that its not collect 40+.. bcz to collect 40+ they have Diwali holiday + 5000 screens + big promotion + srk & DP etc..
and those who comparing HNY With D3 they must hv to know that D3 is non-holiday release with 4400-4500 screens and no promotion..that is in working day D3 collect 36+ and HNY collect 39+..
not much difference only 3cr.
