It would be an understatement to say Emraan Hashmi is going through the worst phase of his career. The actor’s last clean-hit was way back in 2012 when Raaz 3D released in theatres. Since then, films like Rush, Ek Thi Daayan, Ghanchakkar, Raja Natwarlal, Ungli and Mr X have tanked without a trace at the box office.
The big worry is that the opening day collections of his films is getting poorer with each new release. Will Hamari Adhuri Kahani turn things around for him? Unlikely, because the pre-release buzz is clearly missing. The trailer was received well and the first song had also gained popularity, but the way the film has been marketed by Fox Star Studios has left a lot to be desired. Also, there is hardly any interest amongst the audience, especially those in the cities. Compare this to Mohit Suri’s last film ‘Ek Villain’ and the difference is HUGE.
To add to the woes at multiplexes (where nearly 80-85% of the collections come from), films like ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ are still going strong. Hollywood film ‘Jurassic World’, which released in theatres today, will also be competing. This leaves the fate of ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ on the single-screen audience and eventually word-of-mouth, as single-screen business alone wouldn’t be good enough.

My suggestion to Emran is..please visit Aamir Khan and take some advices from him for the promotion of your movies.I ain’t Emran’s fan but HAK is looking good and I would feel bad if it doesn’t work in the box office.Seriously Emran,please visit Aamir and he will help you and give you some excellent ideas to promote your films.Good luck!

The kindergarten dropout once again spends way too much of his useless time reading crappy paid for not so smart reviews of his sell out choosen profession n not enough time reading Filmkraft sorry Marvel comics. If he read comics then that can help broaden his narrow minded horizon so when the next roshan home made cartoon movie releases he can therefore better review it against a detailed parameter for comparisons…!
