A teaser poster of Half Girlfriend has been released – a day and a half before the launch of the first look poster of the film. Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, Half Girlfriend has been directed by Mohit Suri.
The film, based on Chetan Bhagat’s best-seller with the same title, features Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead.
The poster will be launched on March 28 at 11:30AM, while the theatrical trailer will be out on April 3.

This Novel was the most overrated novel in recent times.Chetan Bhagat doesn’t write anything literary.
But there is no doubt when his novels are turned into movies it develops massy genre.
And this is about movie not about literature so this movie will have a massy touch for sure.. Arjun and Shardhha both need a hit desperately. This movie will be their hit.

Q. What are your expectations from Half Girlfriend? Can it surpass 2 states?
A. The trailer of Half Girlfriend is good. It has a couple of good songs too, one song that could even attain ‘Galliyan’ levels of popularity. The expectations are obviously high – Chetan Bhagat commands a following, Mohit Suri has his audience and Arjun is returning after Ki & Ka. Shraddha is popular at smaller centres too. So it ticks most boxes and it’s a bigger film than Badrinath Ki Dulhania too. Whether it beats 2 States lifetime or not, would obviously depend on content – but opening-wise it should, especially if music really gains popularity. The music album isn’t the ‘Kala Chashma’ or ‘Humma’ sort, it has a lot of feel to it and the audience would want to experience it in theatre.

Imdicine: talking about current form it means Akshsy Ranbir Ajay are bigger crowd pullers than Hrithik.
I don’t know why Akshay is never given credit? I can not agree with Hrithik ahead Akshay now. Same goes to Ranbir ahead of Ajay,controversy helped him a lot and Kjo act of shame even the last 6 openings of both of them Ajay edges Ranbir. Akshay without a doubt edges Hrithik too.
Why is Aamir behind Srk? I don’t agree too.
Not just opening day should matter these days what about sustainability?
Keeping Salman and Aamir aside if you are talking of sustainable crowd pull effect than Srk should be way back because after weekend his movies drops!
Crowd pull also means people continue going to watch movies after 1st weekend , 1st week 2nd week and 3rd too. Is that not so ? That’s measured in footfalls.
The last movies of the big Stars with decreasing Crowd pull as movie crosses 1st weekend. / Footfalls
Salman that fell flat after 1st week was probably Veer or Yuvraj.

Ajay last movie to fall after week 1 was Action Jackson, Drishyam and Shivaay continued collecting cash post week 1.

@Madmax… You have pointed quite correct, even I was amazed after reading this Question & it’s answer… Although I am the least interested in a film like ‘Half Girlfriend’ but there’s no trailer or songs released yet, as far as I know… The makers are just creating hype around…
