Box office is unpredictable and the trend of Half Girlfriend proves this yet again. After a weak trend over the weekend, the film based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel was expected to crash out on Monday – but the film has held strongly at several circuits.
At mass centres and the core Hindi belt ‘Half Girlfriend’ has found acceptance, but multiplex business in metro cities continued to remain on the lower side on Monday.
While the Monday hold is good, many films in the past have shown drops on Tuesday and Wednesday. So it’s important for ‘Half Girlfriend’ to remain steady over the next couple of days.
The film is now heading towards a 49-50 crore first week at the box office. It can get to a 70 crore lifetime total if it sustains well in Week 2, especially the second weekend.

Indicine always shifting the goal post to accommodate their articles. Last week it was it needs to hold well on Monday, now Monday proves them wrong, it now let’s see the hold in coming weeks. Lol. Just happy for shahadra after 2 back to back flops. This movie will be a hit atleast .
