Haider has collected Rs 6.14 crore on its opening day at the domestic box office, a good start for a film released on 1250 screens and against a big film like Bang Bang.
The film is carrying fantastic reports, arguably the best of the year so far and comparable to the response that ‘Queen’ got when it released in March this year. Haider is expected to grow over the extended 5-day weekend and could collect somewhere between 35-40 crore, depending on how well the family audience respond to the film.
The opening of Haider is the second highest of Shahid Kapoor’s career after R… Rajkumar and also the 2nd highest of Shraddha Kapoor’s career after Ek Villain.
