Ashutosh Gowariker’s production house has released a press statement confirming the release date of his upcoming directorial venture, ‘Mohenjo Daro’, which will release in theatres on August 12 2016.
“I would like to clarify that he (Ashutosh Gowariker) has not been spoken to and that there is no change in the release date of ‘Mohenjo Daro’. As officially announced more than a year ago, on January 15, 2015, the film will release on August 12, 2016.”
Talking about the marketing campaign, the statement confirmed that there is a plan in place already.
“There is a specific promotional plan in place for our film and our campaign will begin as scheduled by our team for the same”
Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, Mohenjo Dark stars Hrithik Roshan, Pooja Hedge, Kabir Bedi and Arunoday Singh.
The film is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo Daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation.
It will be must watch movie on big screen.

But why they didn’t release even a first look so far….very 2 frustrating……m expecting huge at least 250 cr….nd if content strikes then 300 cr plus sure. …..anyways a monster hit is coming….

gwariker movies has just one drawback which is its length all his previous movies has a runtime of more than 3:30 hours
but md has a runtime of 2 hours 30 minutes
so definately it will be the best movie of the year or may be of the indian cinema as hritik has dedicated almost 2 years to this movie

Guys u should understand that rustom is going to be great too it’s clear why rustom makers are not postponing their movie..because they are confident about it.
Revealing the first look would have been a better way of confirming the release date.

I have extremely high expectations from this movie. Indus Valley Civilization was one of the earliest 3 civilizations during Old World. It will be a great experience to watch it on big screen with Hrithik’s performance and Ashutosh’s direction. It was a completely different era from today, something which hasn’t been explored yet. Everything related to this movie is top class from actors to technical staff. They have got a great team.
Hopefully, it gets a solo release which a movie of this scale deserves. Independence holiday is not a big enough holiday to accommodate 2 big movies.
For all wondering why did they release press conference for announcing their release date again, because Rustom’s spokesperson had earlier said that they announced the release date of Rustom (Aug 12th) before MohenjoDaro’s makers, which is absurd since MohenjoDaro’s release date was announced in January 2015.
I’m happy with their promotional strategy, we have seen many films failing to sustain the momentum when makers release all the trailers, songs, promos way before film’s release. MohenjoDaro is still very hyped without releasing anything.
It is great to see Ashutosh Gowariker confirming the release date of Mohenjo Daro once again . MD is the most awaited movie of 2016 for me . The concept is looking amazing and something never seen before . Till now UTV and AGPPL has done a good job as they are keeping the suspense intact . Many people are getting restless but I would like to say keep calm and take a deep breath . The promotional campaign should be effective and it should not lose fizz as the release date comes closer . The Combo of HR and AG gave JA in 2008 which is one of the Best Movies of Hrithik’s career . If they can give something as good as JA or better than it will be a true cinematic experience . This movie has the potential to do the unthinkable at the Box Office . But I will keep my box office predictions realistic as I want MD to surprise me with its box office collections . If all goes well Mohenjo Daro will be the 1st 200 CR Non Holiday Grosser . Waiting for 12th August 2016 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
