After ‘Gabbar’, ‘Main Gabbar’ and ‘Gabbar Returns’, the makers of Akshay Kumar’s next have finally decided to call their film ‘Gabbar Is Back’.
Gabbar is a character name from arguably Bollywood’s most iconic film of all time ‘Sholay’. The character in Ramesh Sippy’s 1975 blockbuster was played by Amjad Khan.
‘Gabbar Is Back’ is a remake of Vijaykanth’s South Indian film ‘Ramana’. Akshay will be playing a larger-than-life character of a do-gooder, who takes law into his hands to bring justice to the poor and eliminate the corrupt. While Shruthi Haasan plays the lead, Kareena has a cameo in the film.
Directed by Krish and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali films, ‘Gabbar Is Back’ releases in theatres on May 1.

What is in name? Film should have good content and good promotions to be hit. I wish every movie of aki to be hit but this not happen often.

Sanjay Leela suggest the title of the name Gabbar is back ( king of 70 cr is back) to mislead the audiance.

Don’t know about Gabbar, but we saw much more awful and horrendous things in the Oscar award winning Satire “Besharam.” It was a satire on Ranbir fans who came to watch a comedy and ended up seeing ummm, well I can’t even describe.
His part was so god damn awful that if I post the link to a certain YouTube video, Indicine admin might censor my comment! And I am not joking. His supremely creepy bath from Besharam officially wins the “hall of shame” award of all times.

Almost every Akshay film faces copyright problems and I have heard this is facing too. Almost every other film of akshay is a sentence like:

1. I have never come across an analysis article that starts with a December date?? Why not just make it from January 2011-date its more logical. Box office sites always give a rounded figure like 5years or 10years or 15years..so wats d reason giving an analysis for 4years? Ideally u start from d nearest DECADE which is 2010-2015…MAKES MORE SENSE!! but we r not FOOLS.. u had a MOTIF!! If not u will not count AKKI so far 4 semi hits-Atbb by concluding that from Dec 2010-May(2015)..Akki will have only 4 success?? So y jump to May 2015…make it more December 2010-December 2015??
