Force 2 flops at the domestic box office

John Abraham’s Force 2 is not holding up at the domestic box office, as the film had to show good trend on Monday and during the rest of the weekdays, to have any chance of recovering costs.

When the film showed growth in business on Saturday, which isn’t usually the case with massy films like ‘Force 2’ there was hope that it would show bigger growth on Sunday and sustain well Monday onwards. That hasn’t happened.

The film had to collect upwards of 45 crore to become a decent grosser at theatres, but it’ll finish with lifetime collections of less than 40 crore. The result will be similar to the 2011 film ‘Force’, which collected 29 crore net more than 5 years ago.  Both theatrical flops.

Force 2 Box Office Collections

  • Friday – 6.05 crore
  • Saturday – 6.50 crore
  • Sunday – 7.50 crore
  • Monday – 3 crore
  • Tuesday – 2.5 crore*
  • Total Collections - 25.55 crore

  • I really enjoyed Force 2 in New York. Shonaski was really impressive and coming into her own as an action actor. John as usual is star casting for action. Film was Hollywood standard, story was taunt and well developed. Bollywood film goers must be hard to please. Mindless RomCom with disjointed story lines seem to be preferable for this crowd.

  • Sequels are not working anymore…I don’t think that even Kahaani 2 will be a hit….Even Tiger Zinda Hain might underperform..,audience can’t be fooled now by brand value. ..this happened bcoz of so many disappointing sequels.

  • Some wankers were saying Akshay Kumar is Playing Patriotic Movie to give hit, What happen with Force2, Phantom etc ?

  • Force 1 was declared a flop by boi, but makers stooped to desperate measures announcing it a success. Unfortunate as force 1 was good action film thNx to vidyut jamwal

  • Seen Force 2 and it’s better than both the Diwali movies. Unfortunate circumstances caused by government may have hit the collections but this one is not a flop at all. Watch it raise a storm on TV. Commendable sequel better than Rock On 2 or Don 2.
