Bang Bang has opened very well at the domestic box office, surpassing the collections of Hrithik Roshan’s last release ‘Krrish 3’ and making it to the Top 5 highest two-day collections of all time.
The collections of Bang Bang is comparable to Kick and Singham Returns, both of which had a solo release although Kick didn’t get advantage of a national holiday and was also affected by the pre-Eid period.
Out of all the films mentioned below, only Bang Bang and Jab Tak Hai Jaan released alongside another big film.

@rohit a masala film can’t have perfect screenplay or can even a good screenplay which having gravity defying action scenes,an hero image who can do anything but no one can damage him.But every fan finding these things fine if its in his fav actors film but for other actors the same people questioning on them and those who thinks it is HR film than it has quality now comparing that its on par with d3,kick etc.So it should be a success like those were.Than why to degrade those flicks if bang-2 is also in the same line
The collections of bang bang are excellent to say at least..I always expected it to cross 100 crores in 4 days if not 3 days
Finally i made it to Bang Bang today watching the 4 PM show in a multiplex in my city..After watching the movie today i just feel like telling you all that i feel very much proud to be a HR fan. He is a megastar. Every time he brings something different to the plate..and this time too it was in most stylish character ever seen in a Bollywood film till date….and i do know that Hrithik will not try any similar role for next 5-6 years….
While going to the movie i was just hoping that the movie should not be so boring to face a heavy fall of collections during weekdays like Kites did…
Fortunately the movie was so good and i liked it very much…I even felt the audience pulse which was very positive for the movie…There are so many positives in the movie e.g.
Positives:
1) Hrithik is in his charming best, the most stylish actor you can see in bollywood. He did his bit and the role was a treat for HR fans…
2) Stunts – never seen before in bollywood
3) No dull moment in film – which is very positive sign…
4) HR-Katrina Kaif jodi was very good…
5) Songs were all very good and well picturised – HR is a King in Dance…
Negatives:
1) Danny and Javed Jaffery wasted.
2) Screenplay could have been better.
Finally the most satisfied part of the movie was in the ending when about 90% of audiences waited till the last step of HR dance in Bang Bang song when the names of star cast and crew rolled out… Which gives a impression that audiences enjoyed the movie till the last without waking up from their seats. Altogether i will give a good 4 out of 5 stars for this movie.
I was shocked to read the reviews of those critics who gave good rating to Kick, CE and D3, but did not feel BB to be good. I totally disagree with them. I am ready for debate as to hear what they felt good about Kick, CE and D3 that they did not find in BB. All movies lack logic and don’t try to prove that as a point.
Now talking about collections i don’t think it will face heavy fall in the weekdays post Monday. The word of mouth is very positive. I think collections on weekdays will be in range of 10-14 crs…I believe that the movie can touch 200 crs. Due to bad reviews from some of critics who look like are biased towards Khan’s, the movie will not be able to go post 250 crs.
To all those who haven’t watched the movie yet…go for this… Bang Bang is a good entertainer….

@Sky, I do see your point, but since you are talking about box office, then you should also consider the fact Dhoom 3 had biggest franchise, longest period as a solo film and of course Aamir Khan himself, Kick released during pre Eid, but had full advantage of Eid holiday afterwards and had much bigger screen size and was a solo release, whereas Bang Bang had holidays only in some parts of India and puja may have also affected its business slightly. Sunday will be its first National holiday.
BTW, it is doing better than Kick, Indicine has mentioned somewhere Bang Bang’s occupancy was highest for any film in 2014, higher than Kick and Singham Returns. But, much lower shows and screen size, shows were even lower than Mary Kom and Ek Villain in some parts, but its occupancy (highest in 2014) proves opening was great. Only Dhoom 3’s opening can be considered better, which was historic and expected. So, I don’t think it’s been a failure so far. Let’s wait until the first week.

insted of bang bang i can watch some korean boxers bout but not bang bang. haider is much more entertaining than bang bang.
