Bang Bang has opened very well at the domestic box office, surpassing the collections of Hrithik Roshan’s last release ‘Krrish 3’ and making it to the Top 5 highest two-day collections of all time.
The collections of Bang Bang is comparable to Kick and Singham Returns, both of which had a solo release although Kick didn’t get advantage of a national holiday and was also affected by the pre-Eid period.
Out of all the films mentioned below, only Bang Bang and Jab Tak Hai Jaan released alongside another big film.

Bang Bang collections is EXCELLENT because of the following reasons
1. In multiplex near my house Bang Bang has 8 shows running, Haider has 5, Dhoom 3 had 12 and Kick had 13.
2. Holiday period i.e Christmas, Eid and Diwali make big difference to collections because audience are willing to spend more.
3. Ticket prices are lower than Dhoom 3 and Kick in the theatre I visit and I also saw on BMS.. maybe because of non-festive period.
4. Bang Bang has lost 7-8 cr minimum to Haider in first 2 days. Otherwise collections would have been near Chennai Express and not Kick and Singham.
5. October 2nd was working day this year. My office was open and most of my friends were working too. It was not a holiday like I-day.
Without clash Bang Bang would have been in top 2.

Stop lying. Prices are increased only during Diwali, Eid and Christmas. Other times it might just increase marginally year by year.
