Q. Who has more chances to get Filmfare Best Actor award in 2015? And what’s your nomination?
A. Salman Khan is the top contender to win the Filmfare Best Actor (popular) award this year and it would be surprising if he doesn’t. Unless Ranveer Singh comes up with an extraordinary performance in Bajirao Mastani, it will be between Ranbir, Salman, Akshay this year. Ranbir has performed very well in Tamasha, but for a popular award, a movie also has to do well. The same applies for Ajay and Akshay. Both their films weren’t hugely successful at the box office. The problem with Filmfare is, they haven’t been consistent over the years. For example, SRK in Swades was undoubtedly the best performance of the year, but the movie didn’t work at the box office. He was also nominated for Veer Zaara, which was the more popular movie and performance, but didn’t win the Filmfare award. In 2006, Hrithik was nominated for Krrish and Dhoom 2. Krrish was rated as his better performance that year, but he won for Dhoom 2. It’s been difficult to understand Filmfare’s choices over the years, so it would be disappointing for millions of fans, who are expecting not just a Filmfare award for Best Actor (Salman’s first), but also a national award for the superstar. Popular nominations could look something like this (so far in 2015) – Akshay Kumar for Baby, Ajay Devgn for Drishyam, Salman Khan for Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Ranbir Kapoor for Tamasha. SRK, whether his performance is good or bad, always gets a nomination. So he’s likely to be the other nominee, along with Ranveer Singh for Bajirao Mastani.

I have voted for Salman khan. Though technically Akshay and Ajay were outstanding in Baby and Drishyam respectively.
Ajay is still the best according to me in Drishyam, but that was a remake and Ajay is already is best among these 3 in acting Department.
Akshay was fab in Baby, he made us proud while watching that movie as a patriotic man.
But Salman won the heart from his out of the bobox innocent act, opposite to Hus recent image/character in films. He got punches/kick in films, He is not clever this time but a innocent. While watching the film you might liked Harshali more in first half,nawaz in second half but Salman made you feel for him as the movie reached in climax and you feel your eyes are melting for him. That is the toughest impact which you think is almost impossible while watching A salman film but he made it possible once again after Tere naam. So my pick is undoubtly Salman. Haven’t seen tamasha yet.
Btw Filmfare can give his trophy to anybody but the fact is we hardly care.
I think so award should go to nawaz for manghi
I think RANVEER will get Filmfare this time bcoz in most of SLBs movies a male actor has delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role.
BIG B-BLACK & SRK-DEVDAS have won the award while SALMAN,AJAY,Hrithik & Ranveer were nominated for their Role.
Ranbir for Tamasha or Salman for BB even SRK for Dilwale too don’t underestimate

To be Honest I am not interested in this year’s Filmfare.
I am eagery waiting for 2016 FILMFARE Award.

2015- Salman or Ranveer (Historical roles are preferred more take Lagaan or Jodha Akbar for example). But for that Ranveer’s film need to be clear hit.
2016- Hrithik or SRK (Again with Hrithik in historical role and considering track record of A.Gowariker’s actors record in past he is the fav. Still SRK can surprise with Fan. However with VFX effects on his face to make him look younger has been used so not sure will that be considered as his expressions or graphics effect. Safe to place bet on hrithik)
Who really cares about filmfare awards? Well I don’t. They have lost their credibility long ago.

For actress no doubt it is Kangana for Kumari Kusum Sangwan. Also wont be surprising if she bags consecutive national awards as well for TWMR.
Since Deepika has given many good performances this year with still BM to release she should also be rewarded with Best Actor Critics award.
I agree Ranveer will be a strong contender if His performance will be nice and if BM received well. As actors like Akshay,Ajay and Salman are not giving a damn to these awards.

Ajay’s performance was a bit overrated.Just watch either the Tamil or Malayalam version to know how great scope the character had but Ajay underplayed his part to a large extent.He was good but not brilliant.Akshay is the deserving winner I guess.He stood his own in the film.BB was a brilliant movie but it had more to do with the script not because of the performance.Salman was too annoying at times.
Yet to watch Tamasha but heard great things about Ranbir’s act so hopefully the award should go to either Akshay or Ranbir but since giving an award to Salman will increase the TRPs he would be given the award

Also indicine, since you mentioned Hrithik’s 2006 case, I think both his performances were best that year and filmfare jury knew whch actor will be given the award but were not sure for which film. And they must have gone with more popular film amongst audience considering which has higher collections. And that was dhoom2 , krrish being second.
Also For Krrish it was all about him so it was expected he be great in it. But in Dhoom2 he literally stole the show from all fellow actors including the actresses. He just redefined acting showing how you can look cool and sexy and also act well at the same time. And of-course those dance moves. He rightly got it for Dhoom2.
Definitely salman khan, I always thought that he cant act in emotional scenes, but after watching bb, I really surprised, he acted effortelessly in all emotional scenes.
