Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn, who will be seen in next week’s Diwali release ‘Shivaay’, has said he fears losing all the love that he gets from his fans.
“I fear losing my stardom. Yes, you do have that fear … at the end of the day, you get this habit of getting love from people and suddenly if it stops, it really affects you” Ajay said.
The actor, however, added that inspite of all the love from the audience, some films work and some don’t at the box office.
“That’s part of the business” he said.
Shivaay releases in theatres on October 28.

akki releases 4 films in 2015 every film collection is around 85-90, crore and hr release md in gap of 2 years and collect 58, crore and you call him superstar he is superstar star on jadoo land haha

“A clash was always an unwelcome situation. It stays on the same even today despite all the talks of multiplexes taking care of the collections. It doesn’t quite happen that way. Every producer, distributor, exhibitor, actor pines for an open week. Same holds good for audience as well. Unlike hardcore movie buffs or those from within the industry, no one watches two films over a single weekend. This means that after the first choice has been made, in all likelihood the ‘second choice’ would be viewed on a pirated DVD at home.
If the clash does take place, one movie would be the second choice this Diwali and eventually end up losing that revenue that could have come theatrically.
In case of Shahrukh and Ajay films, one of them will always be a second choice for many out there. It won’t be a straight forward choice, like say with an Akshay Kumar and an Akshaye Khanna solo starrer, where the choice (for majority) is obvious. We are talking about two superstars who have found a market of their own.
If there is a clash, there would be blood. And Bollywood can’t afford bloodshed.
My two cents on the situation? Let the film with a bigger (and more respected and revered) director occupy the Diwali slot. The (relatively) younger ones (like Shahrukh and Ajay) do have their chance to fight it out in the future. However, Yashji may or may not make a film for many more years to come.
The legend deserves that space, attention and respect at the least. He truly does!

Don’t know why people think 85 crore non holiday actor like SRK who overacts in every film is bigger than Ajay who has given 140 crore on a non holiday and has given performances out of reach of SRK.

Indicine if am to be honest I fault you for all these negative comments from Shah Rukh and Akshay Kumar fans. How long have you been in this occupation but you outrightly try every means to degrade Ajay Devgn. What wrong has he done? Am a regular visitor of your site. Do you know because of him the monopoly of screen spaces have been equally shared? He was the first to stand up being bold. Am not that much of his fan but how the hell do you expect people to react when you intentionally attach #Actor”#? So is it a new thing Ajay is an established superstar and a bankable actor? Is it not the same Indicine that posted an answer by saying Shah Rukh and Ajay both have nothing to prove again. If he had no stardom do you think we will be watching his big mainstream movies on festive period ? I certainly agree he does not have as much fans like Khans and Hrithik but have you been to core interiors of India. Some states Ajay is far more loyals fans than even Shah Rukh ,Akshay Kumar case is already known he has more fan followers in interior India while Ajay is not that far. Look at all the circuits in India excluding South and probably West Bengal Ajay movies have amongst the highest distribution and footfalls barring The 3 Khans. His TV viewership deal was forth a stacking 400 crores as back as 2012 a number only achieved by Our Salman. His TRPs are I think about 4 or 5 in top 20. Sos was watched by more Indians than Jthj. Am I lying? Now he increased Bollywood scale to a higher level with his mega budget Shivaay as we are talking New Zealand Malaysia Chile US have already started advertising Shivaay release with names of cinemas. At box office his the 3rd or 4th Ranked in terms of Hit ratio and Sucesss ratio. He came announced himself grande in 2010 achieving only what Salman and Aamir could achieve 100 cr. He has 2national awards and lots of individual honours to his name. He held the hands of Rohit Shetty and Milan Luthia and trusted them when he joined hand to produce movie and they were Assistant Directors not even Directors. Yet? Yet some idiots are asking which stardom? SR was a franchise but how many superstars are there in the country with back to Franchises? Am not saying a Dhoom 2 to 3 or House full 2 to 3 I mean original movies acted by them yielding 98-101 cr and bounces back with a record opening of 30 cr with another 100 cr? Only Salman Dabbang. Ajay has taken lots of sticks but I still respect him a lot. Tomorrow any news on Golmaaal Badshaho Singham is going to be posted just watch numbers of visitors who will open it whether they hate or like him. Ajay is special no doubt he has paid his dues and even today he decided the quit the job he will always be remembered as someone who gave performances beyond Extraordinary as you once said on Q&A. I shall watch Shivaay and pray his ambition is achieved because this versatile supersar deserves nothing less than an applaud. No numbers of bad comments will affect his stardom that am very sure of and believe you too.

@Challa dude I did not expect such comments from you. You very well know Ajay picked the hands of Rohit Shetty Anees Baba Kuku and Luthia when they were nobody. Without Rohit his stardom is intact because winning a National in all languages makes you already a Hero. His the first among you guys contemporaries (Hrithik excluded) to be a producer in late 90s and ignoring his fame to do parallel cinema for the fun of it to enjoy and test his capabilities. If I were Ajay fans I would also throw back Yash chopra already super existing banner then, Dharma with leading ladies. Subtract Dharma+ Yash Shah rukh is missing. Remember to movies that Ajay declined to stick with his sharing of parallel cinema tour. Kkhh was Ajay no.1 choice , Yashj was so stunned when he trashed Lamhe with his debut and average looks and approached him for Daar. Neeraj Pandey of Akki pleaded with Ajay to do S26he refused due to commitment to his friend Said khan. Sanjay leela approached him but he was committed to Drishyam.
