Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan, who made his debut in ‘Khoobsurat’ last year, will be seen in Karan Johar’s upcoming film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Kapoor and Sons’.
But the actor won’t be coming to Mumbai to promote the film, after objections to Pakistani artists performing in India were raised by political party Shiv Sena.
Karan Johar, who is the producer of the two Fawad Khan films, has decided to keep the actor out of the promotional activities of both films.
This is because Karan doesn’t want any unwanted controversy regarding his films. When Karan starred in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet earlier this year, there was some controversy with the name of the film being called ‘Bombay Velvet’ rather than ‘Mumbai Velvet’.
A similar situation happened with Farhan Akhtar’s Raees which stars SRK and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. Most of the film was shot in Mumbai but now the producers have decided to shoot the remaining portions in Dubai.

Unfortunately politics has started to dominate Bollywood and this is just the beginning . It is ok that Fawad Khan has completed his shoot for Kapoor and Sons and now he will complete his remaining schedule for ADHM outside India . Now the makers of Raees have to opt for a different location and most probably it will be Dubai . Pakistan will come to India next year for T20 World Cup and i don’t want anything to ruin that event . Politics should not come between Sports and Entertainment .

Ae dil hai mushkil is flop, dont care about it. Raees is boring. This shahrukh overhypes his films as if they are biggest in the world. but ultimately they too do same business as others. then whats the point of over promoting your boring film.

Shifting the location of the films and doing it in abroad will not help this. instead as much as you will try to to avoid any disturbance or clashes later with the time they will create another controversy & will ask something impossible so you’ll do that too? the shoot has to happen in India & find a solution for it instead shifting it to abroad..
