Fast and Furious 7 has collected Rs 12 – 12.5 crore including all versions at the box office in India. The Hollywood film has easily beaten the opening of all Hindi films released this year, including films like ‘Roy’ and ‘Baby’ featuring two of the most bankable stars in the country – Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar.

Fast and Furious 7 got the widest release for a Hollywood film in India and the occupancy in the morning on Thursday was around the 65% mark – easily surpassing the opening day occupancy of Roy which was around 40%. A lot of people were probably not even aware that the film was playing in theatres, because most new films release on Friday.
The James Wan directed film is also smashed the opening day collections of ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ which collected Rs 8.5 crore (including all versions) in 2012.

If some south obsessed lallu fans are thinking KING KHAN will repeat it’s sequences in HIS film,then I’ll be very happy.because to copy a world class film is far better than copying classless grade less irritating brainless south movies into bhojpuri versions.
F&F have built on a new audience from their earlier movies and people have become fans of it. Though i personally don;t like all of the series, I like the 1st and 5th. I hope 7 is brilliant.
The Avengers Age of Ultron will open even bigger as it is the biggest trending movie since the past few months, more than any bollywood or hollywood movies.
What this shows, the rise of hollywood mega movies and struggle of some bollywood movies, is that you need something to pull the audience out of the homes to come to theatres. There is enough of entertainment, thrillers, drama, romance etc., on tv and your mobile, with easy download options, so why would people bother to go to theatres afterall?
Earlier movies were the only biggest entertainment, and hence just like circus, a movie used to run at one theatre for many months and everyone went and watched.
The era of Circus has come to an end in our country, because it did not do anything different, but the same old tricks. Similarly the age of movie going will come to an end in bollywood if they keep doing the same thing.
Look at Aamir, how he builds the suspense of each one of his movie, that people are waiting for it. He builds the interest slowly, by a new marketing strategy every time, taking up new concepts, approaching it differently. His movie that is being released next year, is already in news every month for something or the other. All this culminates in to a big curiosity around the viewers mind and they are all geared up to catch it when the film ultimately releases.
This should be the approach of every star and every maker, if they want to sustain the industry. Do something different, make a new approach. Save bollywood.
Hollywood realised this and hence they have changed their way of telling a story. They want to give something that is not available on their tv or mobile. The experience of watching it exclusively in theatre is what they are aiming for.

However they are still colonised mentally everything that comes out of West is classic to them, I watched this film its a good film but stop overeating it and stop saying all bollywood films are crap. Was Baby and Badlabur craps if you believe those films were bad then please go and continue bootlicking Hollywood. I am quite sure if K3 and R one were staring Hollywood actors you would’ve called them great films.
