FAN has shown a significantly big drop in both occupancy and collections on Monday. The average occupancy at centres that we tracked has dropped by around 50-60% from Friday and the collections too is low due to cheaper weekday ticket prices.
The drop is Pan-India. Single-screen business has crashed and multiplexes in cities too have shown bigger than expected drops. And unless the film picks up in the night, the Monday collections are likely to come in the 6-7 crore range.
In fact, ‘The Jungle Book’ is now recording higher percentage occupancy at multiplexes. FAN has significantly higher number of shows than ‘The Jungle Book’, which will divide the business and reduce occupancy, but it cannot be forgotten that FAN is running in its first week and it was the biggest film so far this year.
The evening / night shows could still pick up at multiplexes, like they usually do in major cities, but the occupancy both in the morning and noon is pretty low for the fourth day of a big film like FAN.
Starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, FAN collected Rs 52.35 crore in its first weekend at the domestic (India) box office. The film has been made on a budget of Rs 105 crore, excluding the lead actor’s fee.

When people come out of theatres and say that they wished Jabra song was there, then that means movie was pathetic and that was the only saving grace for it yet they left it out trying to do something different!!!
No one will remember this movie after 2 years…IF it will be remembered, it will be remembered as SRK’s attempt at plastic surgery…
To all fans saying it is a content movie that is why it isn’t working, just look at all the content based movies of 2015 and 2016…All the highest grossers are content based movies except for Dilwale which happened to be an anomaly…So this proves that audience still wants content-based movies and this isn’t one of those..

@Prem Really???Name 1 solo release of Akshay Kumar in last 6 years…And in the past 6 years Akki got only 1 Eid and stupid SRK spoiled that too…And his last Xmas release was TMK and Ajay Devgan’s Toonpur Ka Superhero clashed with it…Even with worst reviews and bad WOM TMK collected 61 cr. just in India and became a semi hit…Unlike Khans He used to release his movies in normal working weeks and still don’t get a solo release too…HF3 is his 1st solo release after a decade,because Jagga Jasoos and Raaz 4 moved their release dates…And there is no holiday on June 3…This is called real stardom unlike zebra fan/global megastar…
@Prem please check who goes to whom to avoid the clash…However with the clash Rustom has every single chance to become a superhit…Just look at the budget 75 cr. vs 120 cr. , with 130 cr. Rustom will become a superhit but Mohenjo Daro need to collect 180 cr. as it is a big film…
