FAN has done well on Day 1 at the box office, but the response has been mixed at mass centres where the film opened well but couldn’t sustain throughtout theday.
As per early estimates, the first day collections will be in the 19 crore range, which would be the highest single day collections of 2016 – ahead of the third day collections of Airlift.
Friday was a holiday in parts of the country for Ram Navami, so the collections of Saturday would be crucial for the long term box office prospects of FAN. If the film shows growth, it would be a positive trend and the film will peak on Sunday.

Too much hype created for FAN. I accept SRK sir’s acting was good after craps like Dilwale and HNY. So much publicity going on and paid reviews. It was just an average movie. Creating too much positivity. SRK fans are behaving like it is worth receiving OSCAR.. Chill guyz..Y SRK fans are going so deperate. Wait 2016 is not over.
If any SRK fan is giving a damn about collections after watching the movie, then I’d like to let him think once again, does that thing really matters?
I genuinely think Jabra song must have been included in the movie.
Also a romantic track involving gaurav and his “one way” girlfriend would have been good.
One energetic dance number for Aryan could have been inserted during that wedding function.
I dont know why no song was included in the movie and why YRF was trying to portray it as a niche movie when it is definitely not.
Adding songs at these places would have definitely added to the commercial value of the movie.
Releasing over 3,500 screens with ticket rates similar to PRDP along with partial holiday of Ram Navmi that too in major circuits = Opening Day Estimates is 19cr!!! Even Dilwale did 20.52cr with less screens, competition and with no holiday. Agreed with the fact that no songs, no famous director, no major cast but 19cr is not an excuse.

For us, it’s early estimate. We are getting around 19-20 crore. Rest, will have to wait till tomorrow. It’s a 3500 screen release, not the easiest to give estimate, 1 hour after shows end. Please understand that.
Just wondering, how come the budget of the movie is 85 Crs. Yes there are CGI shots,yet don’t think it’s a 85cr movie.. Almost no promotions were done(not as much as any regular film with PA expense of 20 Crs), but conveniently the PA budget is shown to be 20 Cr. something does not feel right.. Even Bang Bang was not a 140 Crs movie.. Guess, it’s the trend to show higher budgets to evade taxes on the profit made..

20 cr with 3500 screens is not so great but just gud..remember if gabbar is back is counted as partial holiday release then fan should also be counted as partial holiday..so srk fans accept that …
All other sites r predicting 20 crore pulus first day. But 19 crore is also great. It will grow from here as it was a partial holiday release. Fan is a great movie it is above boxoffice collections so it doesn’t matter that much.
just finished watching iam speechless,one of the best movies of recent time action and background score is brilliant, Srk’s best performance since swades,i was rooting for guarav alld day, my first username was Nawaz and iam a diehard akki fan these movie only Srk could’hve done it maybe Aamir can come close if he take 2 years as usual.4.5*from me only problem is when aryan imitates gaurav.
As for boxoffice i am not sure coz the weak harted may not watch twice such hard hiting film, it will surely do between 175 to 200cr.

My prediction > It will fail to cross 150 crs even with positive reviews. So don’t say mixed WOM. 3.5 overall reviews means positive nd they will help fan a lot otherwise 120 cr lifetime
