Actor Salman Khan, accused of culpable homicide in the hit-and-run case, could be in trouble as two eye witnesses identified the actor in court today.
“Salman Khan was so drunk that he fell down, then got up and ran away from where his car ran over a group of people in Mumbai in 2002″ the first witness, Munnu Shaikh, who was also one of the survivors in the incident, testified before the court on Tuesday.
The second eye witness, Munnu Khan, said that he saw Salman getting out from the driver’s side of the Toyota Land Cruiser.
More than a decade ago, it was at around 2 am when Salman’s car drove onto a payment in suburban Bandra and ran over a group of people sleeping on the road. One person died and four were injured in the accident.
In December, a Mumbai court ordered a fresh trial for Salman, who is accused of culpable homicide in the hit-and-run case and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
Salman was present for the hearing in a Mumbai court today.
He should be hanged. He is a criminal

How is this a hit-and-run case? Salman had a police constable (Ravinder Patil) with him at that time given to him for his protection. There was a crowd and there were stones being thrown at the car at which point, the police constable whose job it was to protect Salman, took him away from there and brought him home where his statements were recorded and then he was taken for the alcohol test. So where is the question of running away? Hit-and-run means when your car has hit someone and you choose to run away. WHETHER HE WAS DRIVING THAT NIGHT OR NOT IS STILL A QUESTION MARK.
It has been repeatedly said that the car was being driven at 90 miles per hour. Even Michael Schumacher in his Ferrari cannot touch 90 miles per hour in front of the small stretch of Holy Family. Had the car hit the shop at 90 miles per hour, the whole shop would have disappeared.
It is repeatedly reported that four were injured even though only one was.
I want to question why is he treated differently than any other citizen of the country. He was put in jail for 18 days, he is involved in this case for over 10 years and has been charged under sections that are applied on the rarest of rare cases.
He is being tried under a section harsher than the section for the Bhopal gas tragedy. The government had his passport and he could not travel without permission. When Salman got bail, he was asked to give 20 lakhs which he immediately gave. There are so many accidents that take place. In how many cases has the person accused been asked to pay 20 lakhs? How many people have been put through 18 days of jail? Why treat him unequally? Please treat him equally as a regular citizen and make him go through the process of law. And don’t prejudice the minds of the people by writing that he is being treated above the law.
And lastly how is this a case of culpable homicide? culpable homicide clearly states that one must have the intention to cause death and the knowledge that the death is likely. salman had neither the intention to cause death nor was he aware of the people sleeping on the footpaths as there was no fixed spot for the homeless who slept on footpaths every night. It is not possible for a person to anticipate the presence of people sleeping on a particular footpath at 2.45am.
Who says that people living on footpath are alone without support coz their brothers have came here to support them in large numbers

First of all it is not at all a Hit & run case according to the witness himself as he said that he got down from the driving side.I don’t understand which paid media & insecure people are spreading these kind of baseless stories.Even Salman himself stated many of times that he never ran away from the place of accident.Finally when selfish,self proclaiming,insecure & backstabbers are living a good life then why can’t a person lead a great life who helps lakhs of people per day through his NGO,upbrings many new talents & gives life to everyone who even act love & affection in his presence & gain mileage by using his name.
