Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain has held up well on Saturday to take its 2-day net box office collections to Rs 32 crore.
The film is trending the way most big films do, single screen business slowed down after a good opening and multiplexes showed good growth for the evening and night shows on Saturday.
Sunday morning shows are off to a good start. Ek Villain should collect around 18 crore on Sunday to take its weekend total to 50 crore – which is outstanding for a Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor starrer.
The 2 day collections of Ek Villain is only lower than Salman Khan’s Jai Ho, which released on 3900 screens as compared to 2500 screen release of Ek Villain.
The reports are good too, which should help the film cross the 100 crore mark in its second weekend. Ek Villain is likely to be the first blockbuster of 2014.

Not only collections,but The film is gud too, and must say, that retish steal, the show, he is really underrated actor. the biggest problem with him is that he always work in crap films, otherwise he is grt talent. sid is also gud in his role and shradda is pretty okyish, yet goergous.

Its a good movie.. But I hav to say um lil disappointed.. I entered the hall having huge xpectations.. But its was nowhere near murder 2 or aashiqi 2… For me a movie shd b like havin a lasting impression even after its end..which was missing in ek villain.
howeva the songs wer outstanding.. N wer compatible wid the story.. U wil not feel the songs are added to increase the running time… Infact They wer quite situational… Wot I liked the most is its editing.. N mohits way of narration… Which is rare in bollywood… Regarding performances.. Shraddha hasnt much to do.. she is just a bubbly gal.. Also u wil feel her role has limited screen time as compared to ritesh n sid.. Ritesh was outstanding in his role..hands down to him… Sid has done a commendable job.. But nothing xtraordinary…hes stil nowhere near ranbir in terms of acting…. Howeva hes looking damn good in this movie(havnt liked him soty n htp)

Ek Villian comes 2 me as a change with a fresh breeze of air from da usual Run of da mill stories presented in bollywood..even though i like dose movies also if it is well made but 4r me Ek Villian stands out from the cliches and presents itself out of da Bollywood formulatic movies yet been an Bollywood entertainer…Ek villian is one of dos rare visual cinematic xprience in bollywood which celebrates the life of a Villian.. It shows how a Villian can have a Villian in his love story.
Watching da movie U xtually get confused 4rm whom u shud show ur sympathy more.. 4r da Villian?? who is da Hero or da actual Villian
Performance wise Siddharth Rocks.. His intense looks , angry expressions just blow me out.. Even though itz just his 3rd movie and still he can improve 4rm here but undoubtedly its his Best performance till date and best of da year by a leading actor wit Ranveer 4rm Gunday and Arjun coming 2nd.. Shradhha has done full justice 2 her role.. Not breakthrough role by da way.. But very gud 4rm her side, wish the role cud hav longer… But real surprise package of da film is da real VILLIAN yes itz Reteish…my goodness.. I knew he steal da show and datz wat he did.. Even though evry1 was equally gud but U just cant take off ur eyes 4rm him.. I never thought dat he can carry out such a role wit such an ease.. He really reminded me of da xtuall anti hero SRK.. of early 90’s.. da Calmness, da wickedness, da anger within him is all potrayed outstandingly just through by his eyes… Remo is okay,, but his dialogue delivery is sumthng he shud improve.. Shaad randhawa is Very gud.. Y dont he do other movies.. KRK is xtually very gud..
Story is gud but itz da Screenplay datz top notch,.other technical aspects is also gud lyk cinematography, background score, costume.. Editing 4r da Ist half cud hav been little better as itz too long as compared 2 da 2nd half.. But itz xtually da 2nd half and da climax dat put da Film in an all together different level,
And wat shud I say about da music.. Evry1 knws it.. Undoubtedly da Best album of da year and wud be da best till da end of da year.. Evry song is a gem.. Be it Galiyaan,, Banjara, Humdard, Zaroorat, Galiyaan unplugged (my fav) even an item song lyk Awari wud be remberred for its Soulfulness… all kudos 2 Mohit.. And Mithoon and Ankit Tiwari., song after Song,. Album after album dey r proving dat dey R a lethal Force too watch out 4r.. Milap Zaveri’s dialogue are also brilliant.
And last but not da least da captain of da Ship Mohit suri.. He is just brilliant, wat Ek villian is 2day itz all cz of dis man.. Xtually He has become a PHD holder of dis Genre.. Of gore dark painful world of LOVE… Da pain dat he shows in all his Movies is really appluadable.. He beautifully blends Romance, Love, Pain, anger, Revenge in da movie.. All in all EK VILLIAN is not Once in a Lifetime movie but a rare Bollywood movie which shud not be missed..
HRITHIK is a more successful n bigger actor than ranbir considering their work n experience

Regarding khans releasing their movies on holidays, they r working in industry for over 20 years n dey deserve it.. Its not like dey have released all their movies on holidays frm d beginning..
