Ek Tha Tiger is likely to fall agonisingly short of the 100 crore mark after 5 days at the box-office in India. Early estimates suggest that the film has crossed 20 crores on Sunday, taking the 5 day total to Rs 98 crore nett.

To add to the historic 5 days in India, Ek Tha Tiger has done well in the overseas markets too. The film has collected Rs 16-17 crores in the first extended weekend (released in US, UK, UAE, Australia on Wednesday, rest of the countries on Thursday). The ban in Pakistan meant that ETT lost around 6-7 crores.
Worldwide 5 day total is 113 – 114 crores.

Watched second time last night. Fantabulous! Actions are superb, great romance and chemistry (and physics as well hahaha), breath taking locations and good comedy. Though the story was not extraordinary, it was beautifully scripted. Go and watch it.

To compare SRK & Sallu’s films with uneven data is not fair. Sallu had the added advantage of releasing in 3300 theaters, a 15% hike in prices and also suppressing the release if “Expendables” which could have diluted the earnings of ETT. DON 2 was released about the same time as “Mission Impossible” and it did great. Taking these factors into the equation, ETT earnings are not that earth shaking.
