Don’t allow SRK inside the Wankhede Stadium: MCA tells police

Kolkata Knight Riders will take on the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on May 7th and team owner Shahrukh Khan won’t be allowed inside the stadium to cheer for his team.

Last year, Khan was banned from entering the stadium after he was involved in a brawl with the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) officials.

Talking to the media recently, SRK jokingly said “I don’t want to sound politically incorrect, but what will they do if I enter the stadium? Shoot me? Otherwise, I’ll have to wear masks.I’ll wear them with a false moustache and stuff like that. But I am not going to take any chances. I will wait outside and cheer for my boys. As long as my team is allowed inside, it’s fine. We will win the match.”

Now, the MCA officials have written a letter to the Mumbai police asking them to prevent SRK from entering the stadium.

“We wrote a letter to Marine Lines police station today asking them not to allow Shahrukh Khan inside the stadium tomorrow. This was after the police had asked us to send a letter to that effect” MCA PresidentRavi Savant told reporters on Monday.
