Our prediction for Don 2 has been spot-on so far. After a good first week, with collections of about 74 crores (including all versions), Don 2 has continued it’s good run in Week 2.
The film remained steady on it’s second Friday, picked up on Saturday and was strong at multiplexes all over on Sunday. The second weekend collections was around 20 crores (including the regional versions).
We expect Don 2 to collect about 30 crores in Week 2 taking it’s 2 week total to 104 crores. But with the release of Players this week, the collections in Week 3 is expected to drop by 60%.
- Week 1 – 74 crores
- Week 2 – 30 crores
- Week 3 – 11 crores (expected)
- Week 4 – 5 crores (expected)
- Week 5 – 2 crores (expected)
- Rest of the weeks – 1.5 crores (expected)
- Lifetime collections – 123.5 crores (expected)
If it manages better numbers in Week 3, there are chances that Don 2 could go past the lifetime collections of Salman Khan’s Ready (125 crores). Please note – that the expected figures of Don 2 includes collections from non-hindi versions.
But with lesser shows / screens in Week 3 and competition from Players, a film that belongs to a similar genre, Don 2 might find it difficult to go past the 125 crore mark.

I still dont understand why people always compare the indian box office collection when talking about srk and salman movies. It is a clear fact that srk movies are more urban centric than sallu and so for movies like don 2 single screen returns are low. Thats the reson bodyguard and all collects 140cr and don2 about 120 (exp).But no one would ever compare the cumulative international box office in which srk’s last three movies have crossed 200 crore and don2 is defenitly gonna surpass dabangg and bodyguard. But sallu fans never talk about that and always compare figures like 140 vs 120, 121 of ready vs 115 of ra 1 etc. Now even srk has started doing mass centric movies. his yash chopra movie , rohit shetty movie and a r murugadoss movie are all mass movie with an urban touch. I am still not saying its gonna break new records bcoz films like 3 idiots would come only once in a lifetime. but it would be worth a record in single screens of india and in oversees any srk movie is a sure shot blockbuster……
