After a good start on the day of it’s release, Shahrukh Khan’s Don 2 remained steady on Day 2 with collections in the range of 14 – 15 crores, taking it’s two-day total to around 28-29 crores.
Business at multiplexes picked up considerably on Saturday where the film has been liked. But at places dominated by single-screens, there was a slight drop on Day 2.
The weekend record of Dabangg (48.5 crores) is now out of reach and Week 1 collections will be considerably lower than films like Bodyguard, Ra One, Dabangg or even 3 Idiots.
Comparing Don 2 to those films would be unfair though, as it doesn’t really hold the same universal-appeal, which is pretty evident from the single-screen business in the last 2 days.

The fall in small centres is solely due to absnce of any item song and south like fighting (50 enemies and 1 hero and hero won without any hurt)these ppl love to watch such movies that make no sense thats why mitthun in small centres is best and now sallu has taken his plce….
Big centres like mumbai delhi r genuinely true centres and i believe collections from big centres should be taken to judge a film..

SRK must release movie like Don-2 during EID when audience is starved for any major superstar movie because of Ramzan for 6 weeks before EID
TDP might have cut into Don-2 BO business as it was a superhit & collected 70 crores before Don-2 was released.

Boxoffice capsule: first one to report 14.77 for day 1 when everyone you mentioned said 13+ crores. Capsule got it right upon first reporting. Koimoi. hungama etc etc changed it to “15 crores for day 1” later after several hours.
Now BO Capsule reports 18+ crores for Day 2. Everyone reporting 15+ crores. Watch how on mon morning, koi moi, b hungama etc etc will change it to 17+ crores.
BO Capsule getting it right the very first time & earliest. Other sites reporting it very very late & still getting it wrong & changing it to BO Capsule reported numbers.
who would you trust. specially for a film with tremendous postive WOM.

Dear Sir, I just went over KoiMoi Sat day 2 collection of Don-2 as you mentioned.
It has Day 2 @ 14.50 crores as “EARLY ESTIMATES”. Watch how it wll change to final day 2 @ 16.50 crores as reported by boxoffice capsule day 2 TOTAL of 18.37 minus 2 crores regional languages.
Collections are very good. No doubt the movie like don 2 deserves more its easily the best movie of the year. I have seen it two times nd i m going to watch it third time. Who said that there is no repeat value I just can’t wait to watch it third time. In my opinion its the best action movie ever made in bollywood. That’s srk’s class. Srk is almost at his best. 30 crore in two days is good enough to beat 3 day dabang record bcz i think sunday will be huge. In overseas don 2 has broken all records. Love u srk.
