Dilwale was rock-steady yet again on its 6th day at the box office, giving the film a good chance of picking up in the next 3-4 days. The drop from Monday to Wednesday is just 13%, which is excellent when you consider the fact that the trend during the weekend and Monday wasn’t too positive for the film.
The Shah Rukh Khan starrer has collected Rs 93.39 crore in 6 days and would end Week 1 with net box office collections of Rs 101 crore. It would be the second fastest film to cross the 100 crore mark, during a clash, the fastest being Bang Bang last year.
The trend during the weekdays is good, but the percentage of shows at multiplexes is set to drop by 30-35% on Friday – both because of how well Bajirao Mastani is performing and the release of Hollywood film ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.
The protests have now subsided and things are a lot more peaceful than they were last weekend. Mangalore is still not showing the film, but most centres that were affected are now screening it.

And if release date-speculations are anything to go by, Salman and Aishwarya might have a face-off on Diwali next year – at least their film will at the box office.
Sultan, which was initially planned for an Eid 2016 release, might have been moved to the Diwali 2016 slot to avoid a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees. However, Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan will have to clash with Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil if the former is released on Diwali 2016.
While speculations are rife about the release date of Sultan, Karan Johar has gone ahead and announced that his Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is hitting the screens on October 28, 2016.

If protest affected Dilwale in week1 & now when all gets well then why the theaters decided to reduce 35% shows..?
Its trending well then why 35% less shows in week2..?
On week days figures if BM & Dilwale are comparatively same.
Then why shows of BM increased in week2..?

Why Star Wars are replaced with Dilwale’s screens & not BM’s…?

@indicine as per your information Bajirao had 2600 screen and 3000 for dilwale..this is included with cancelled shows screen? (net screen) if it is included means actually Dilwale screening is 2500/2400 or same as bajirao and looking to the collections Dilwale is way a head than Bajiroa. so please clarify or make one detail article on this.
And if bajirao hit than Diwale is Super hit or block buster am right????
