Dilwale was rock-steady yet again on its 6th day at the box office, giving the film a good chance of picking up in the next 3-4 days. The drop from Monday to Wednesday is just 13%, which is excellent when you consider the fact that the trend during the weekend and Monday wasn’t too positive for the film.
The Shah Rukh Khan starrer has collected Rs 93.39 crore in 6 days and would end Week 1 with net box office collections of Rs 101 crore. It would be the second fastest film to cross the 100 crore mark, during a clash, the fastest being Bang Bang last year.
The trend during the weekdays is good, but the percentage of shows at multiplexes is set to drop by 30-35% on Friday – both because of how well Bajirao Mastani is performing and the release of Hollywood film ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.
The protests have now subsided and things are a lot more peaceful than they were last weekend. Mangalore is still not showing the film, but most centres that were affected are now screening it.

BAJIRAO vs DILWALE
BAJIRAO already won the battle by huge margin by defeating DILWALE. But some SRK fans are still supporting DILWALE and giving excuses.
Anyway with weekdays collections it is Cristal clear BAJIRAO will take all advantage of upcoming Holidays like Christmas and New Year in its second week. But on the other hand DILWALE can’t take this advantages in second week. Because of STAR WARS is releasing on Christmas with huge promotion in worldwide. STAR WARS is a multiplex film and will take more than expectation screen from DILWALE from multiples.
So lifetime collections of both films will be from now.

I’m not dismissing BM in any way. It is a genuinly well-made film. Despite being a die-hard srk fan, I believe that BM deserves to win this clash, and would eventually win it too. But that doesn’t make SRK a nobody.

even SRK-hater will agree that the collections are hit becoz of ban and not bajirao. in my city – ichalkaranji near kolhapur, not even a single theatre is playing dilwale, instead bajirao is being played at 6 screens (3 ss and 3 multiplex).
saw it in solapur in 1st weekend, excited to watch it again.
Lifetime of U-Turnwale will be below 140cr and BM will be above 150cr as it will thrive well into week 3…!
