Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale is nearing the end of its run at the box office. The film has collected Rs 145.34 crore so far, it should be able to add around 3-4 crore, to take its lifetime business to around the 148-150 crore mark.
The drop on 4th Friday is around 85% as compared to 3rd Friday, because the film is running on very few shows at multiplexes this week. The fourth weekend total is likely to be around the Rs 1.75 crore mark.

Excusewale’s all India gross is around 200cr, overseas lifetime collections will be around 160cr. Total 200+160=360cr.

But according to srk fans (eg- aman) PRDP released on 5800 screen in India. Those idiots must be living in either paglapur or bakrapur where PRDP got 5800 screens…

Pity on those who are comparing Diwali release with 3 Holiday Christmas period (Opening weekend, Christmas weekend and New Year weekend). Dilwale on Christmas 150 + 60 = 210. hey total 3 crs less than PRDP…. if PRDP was released on Christmas then 230 was sure shot so now m removing 60 from 230 and that is 170 crs. 20 crs more than Dilwale. if Dilwale was released solo on Diwali then it shouldn’t have collected even 200 crs just like HNY. And if it was clashed on Diwali then collection of 100 crs Like a Dream.

i am getting your point… but to say that shahrukh khan is over in the term of box office numbers… i don’t think so.. as simply putting dilwale at best was a very very average movie…. and its fate was decided on the day of its release as bajirao mastaani had got a very good review by auidences and critics…. i see in it as srk’s worst movie in last 5 or 6 years and bajirao mastaani best trending movie after pk…. still the worst movie of srk is above the biggest grossers of other actors biggest movies….. that shows clearly he hasn’t lost his charm over auidences…. it is the movie that turn out to be a dud…. i remember same thig happend to salman khan with salman’s jai ho… though it was much better movie then dabangg 2 or ready… still it was rejected… so was it salmaan khan that lost the charm…. nope it was the movie… that didn’t click with auidence…. And we all know now that a movie to be big grosser needs universal apreciation and love… like pk and bajrangi bhaijaan…. a star can get you a big openings (like srk, salman and aamir khan gives….) but after its all about the word to mouth….. simple as it is…. so in this case the movie that had this word to mouth….. was bajirao mastaani …. and it won in terms of box office number and auidences hearts…. i predicted it in july that dilwale won’t cross 150 cr in india and that what happened , i used to love srk and i hate salman khan movies btw the only movies i watched for him was bb and bodyguard(which was crap) otherwise he does crappy movies – so i hope that srk stop doing stupid masala films and concentrate on acting and doing films with repeated values which stays in history , i hope fan and raes to be in this category ,best of luck to anyone who appreciate cinema , time and audience and give them a worthy movie

@xzone, read prediction article again and don’t misquote us. 150 cr life time (Above Average / Hit), 190 cr lifetime (Hit / Super Hit). It had to do 180 – 190 worst case to be called a HIT, because them it would have atleast recovered distributor investment in domestic market. When the losses are so big, a film CANNOT be called a HIT.
We have always said, overseas is a bonus. It’s domestic business that is MOST important for Hindi films. If local distributors recover money and it over performs overseas, then there is a chance of Hit / Super Hit.

So my only concern is ,what that ‘/’ (or) mark was doing there? 150 cr -> above average/HIT. Now, Since on a collection of 150 CR, you declared it as Semi-hit. So under which special circumstances, you would have declared it as a HIT with a collection of 150 cr(as you mentioned in your prediction article) ?
And then , there was a note at the end that verdict will depend upon overseas collections, but now you saying overseas collections are bonus.
So why that note was there if overseas collections have no role in deciding the verdict?

I think you took too seriously the underperformance of dilwale….
I know it failed the expectations but u cant say that srk should quit doing leadroles.if you think it just becasue dilwale lost the clash in india with bajirao, then what about god tussi great ho (salman lost with ranbir) or laghan lost in 2000.
There is a lot of difference between bacchan Sir in 90′ and srk today.
And if you think about box office performance then it would like to tell you that srk did a 200cr one year before salman; and hny did 205 crs and prdp did 210 (after one year; im comparing these two because Both were weak in content ).
Or CE did 227 crs and one year later Kick did 230 crs ( so in therms of boxoffice salman and srk are same )
U cant compare bajranghi baijaan with srk’s last film because it was content film.And i think srk hasnt lost his charm or acting skills

Lately srk movies hav underperformed but still those movies hav collected way more than biggest hits of other superstar (including the likes of akshay , ajay and even hrithik ( except krish 3))
