The trailer of Kick has rocked both the internet and the trade. Soon after the trailer was launched, trade analyst Komal Nahta tweeted “UNBELIEVABLE! That’s the word to describe the KICK trailer. Remember my words: this one has the potential to cross DHOOM:3!”
Amod Mehra said “After seeing the trailer of #KICK I am convinced it will NOT break previous initial records.. It will S-M-A-S-H them !!”
Exhibitors are also gearing up for a huge Eid weekend and expectations are high that Salman’s return to his favourite weekend could break all standing box office records – including those set by Dhoom 3.

@syed: so now according to Srk fans only Eid is a good time to release movies. What about Diwali and Christmas? Srk been releasing his movie in diwali and christmas and we know the result… Ra One, Don 2 and JTHJ all less than ready’s (non-holiday) collection. Salman gave highest grossers in 3 eid releases. Aamir 2 highest grossers in 2 chirstmas releases. Srk 0 highest grosser in 2 diwali, 1 christmas and 1 eid releases. LOL Srk been trying all holidays to give a highest grosser, but unfortunately it is Salman or Aamir who wouldn’t let him have a highest grosser no matter what. If Srk releases his movie in Diwali, Diwali can’t give highest grosser, if he releases his movie in Christmas, Christmas can’t give highest grosser. If he releases his movie in Eid, Eid also can’t give highest grosser.
As usual, in 2014 also either Salman will give highest grosser in Eid or Aamir will give highest grosser in Christmas. Then Srk fans will say, only if Srk released his movie in Eid or CHristmas HNY would have been highest grosser, but they forget last Eid and Christmas releases of Srk.

Frankly speaking its Dhoom 3 who has better trailer, the 2:45 min trailer was made sleek and eye catching, d3 trailer meets the expectation and was great. Kick trailer will be appealing as most of us not even thought that kick trailer will be one of the well made trailer due to south remake tag, kick trailer had dull moment in 30-45 sec in love story sequences but If we remove that than trailer is on par with d3, but the train sequence of Salman is definitely the one thing which make kick trailer special if we compare d3,kick and k3 trailer. My rating is definitely goes in favor of d3, rating- d3-4/5, kick-3.5/5, k3-3.5/5, last but not least all these 3 movies trailer will remind us some holiday films copied trailer so slightly lack in originaly. Lets see will kick break d3 record. I think for domestic level it has every chance might be impossible for worldwide but guys ready for fireworks in eid.

You got to be joking. No scene from Kick is copied from Hollywood flick. If Salman is jumping from building. .it doesn’t mean this is copied. Kuch bhi ..Both trailers are great but comparatively KICK is awesome coz not only Salman ..even Randeep and Nawaz have great characters & dialogues. Jacky is actually there unlike Kat who was barely in Dhoom3. Only a poster of D3 is copied from Dark Knight..thats it ..

A 37-39 Crore opening is assured. The rest depends on content and entertainment quotient. If everything goes OK, it can earn something between 205 cr to 215 cr in its first week.
I like Kick trailer more than Dhoom 3. It was a sequel of successful prequels.

Salman buy remake remake rights just for adaption for south movie Kick, while Lungi Thakur from Paglapur rip off scenes without even giving credits, let alone buying remake rights. For example, crappy express has so many rip-off scenes from south movies like Okkadu, Mungaru Male and Alex Pandian etc. Next is Disastrous New Year, a total rip off of Hollywood Movie Ocean’s 11.

All the Salman-starrer now needs is a good music album, brilliant promotions and finally a good product altogether. Dhoom:3 had the first 2, but not the 3rd, hence if Kick excels in all 3,the hype-driven collectionions of Dhoom:3 will no longer see the dawn after Eid.

Salman Khan’s upcoming project Kick is a much talked about film right now. The actor will be seen on the silver screen, on his lucky date Eid, this year. The trailer of Kick was released with a lot of momentum amidst fans, who had been waiting for the trailer since a long time. So much was the craze that the trailer crossed 21.5 million views on Youtube within 24 hours of it being released. However going by the ‘kicking’ trailer, there are a few similarities that can be seen with regards to Hollywood films. A lot of Hollywood action instances seem to have been replicated in Kick. I bring to you a few examples:
1. Building jump like Mission Impossible 4-
Salman Khan’s jump in Kick was a much publicised event. The actor went to Poland to shoot the climax and performed a daring stunt there. The actor reportedly plunged from the 40th floor of a building in Poland and the sequence is also included in the trailer. A similar daring stunt was performed by Tom Cruise in the fourth installment of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Tom Cruise jumped from the world’s tallest building, Burj Kahlifa in Dubai. And Salman Khan’s stunt in Kick seems to give him similar publicity that Tom Cruise garnered with his deadly stunt.
2. Bus scene like Speed-
A specific sequence in the trailer of Kick shows that Salman Khan is driving a bus, probably getting it to safety. On the way he even blows off a couple of cars. However a similar thing was noticed in the Hollywood movie Speed wherein the lead hero is trying to save a bus full of passengers whose lives are at risk. Salman seems to have taken a few leads from Keanu Reeves of Speed, to drive the bus convincingly. Also the blowing of cars gives a feel of Rohit Shetty style being adopted by the director Sajid Nadiadwala.
3. Off the bridge scene like Fantastic Four-
The much hyped trailer of Kick starts off with the sequence of a bus falling off a bridge into the sea. This seems to be an important sequence in the movie. However when you look at it, the bus falling off looks strikingly similar to a vital sequence from Hollywood movie Fantastic Four. In Fantastic Four, a fire brigade bus is seen falling off and is shot in a gripping manner, while the trailer of Kick also tries to give a similar feel with the bus falling off. Fantastic Four had the lead actor coming in to avert the tragedy. Now it will be exciting to watch Salman copy them in his film.
4. Laugh like Joker-
The character of Joker in The Dark Night became a hit with audiences. The repelling look and the villainous laugh were his signature styles. But now we have our very own Bollywood’s Joker. Nawazuddin Siddique plays the negative lead in Kick. And in the trailer, Nawaz has a punching dialogue which ends with a laugh which is meant to be threatening. However more than a negative effect, the blink and miss laugh reminds one of Joker’s intimidating laugh.
5. Train and Helicopter sequence like The Expendables 2-
It is not just the makers of Kick who thought of making a bike and helicopter sequence with the bike crashing into the helicopter. In the past, Sylvester Stallone did a stunning act of throwing off a bike in motion towards a helicopter. While he had aimed the bike at the helicopter and jumped off it in The Expendables 2, a similar this is replicated in Kick. Salman Khan who is seen riding a cycle in most part of the trailer jumps from a building in a bike and crashes right into a helicopter. Now that seems more than just an inspiration.
