Dhoom 3 has become the fourth film to cross the 200 crore mark at the India box office, after blockbusters like 3 Idiots, Chennai Express and Krrish 3. Aamir Khan is now the only actor with 2 films in the 200 crore club.
In 8 days the Vijay Krishna Acharya directed film has collected around 199 crore in India and has crossed 200 crores today.
The film is likely to collect around Rs 38-40 crore in its second weekend, taking its 10 day total to Rs 228 – 230 crore at the domestic box office.

If such substandard movies like D3 and CE can make so much money one wonders what would happen if really good movie like 3I releases now. My guess is based on average ticket price of Rs 200 times footfall of 5 crore. It can make 1000 crore gross.
However with so many below average movies doing so well perhaps the makers have no incentive to make an awsome movie. In fact they may be hesitant to do so thinking that the current single digit IQ audience may reject it.

Worst movie ever!! Are you kidding me? How can people watch this trash? Are you serious about Chicago police asking for a help from Indian police? It’s a joke. If indian police was sooo good then how come they have not caught any terrorist? All they want is money nothing else. Story was pretty bad. What was Katrina’s character doing? Only reason I went to see this movie was because of Amir. I am sooo disappointed at Amir for doing this trash movie.

I havent seen it and I dont care whether it resembles Dhoom or not or vice versa…! An imbecile like you needs to digest this fact- Bollywood in 100 years has churned out on average 300 movies per year- thats A grade movies, if you include C grade filth like Raavan Returns As Ra point One or Jab Tak Hai Mojo and Crappy Express then the hindi film industry has produced upwards of 500 movies per year. Now come to hollywood, they in 125 years on average churned out 250 movies per year… Ok now look at the different types of genres out there- think for a moment which may be hard for a loon like you- do you think that there might be a slight inevitability /councidence that maybe just maybe 1 film like the prestige could resemble Asmirs Dhoom 3 or another like for like movie like Scarface vs Agneepath? Romeo and Juliet + Heer Ranjha- are we to say thats it, no more love stories because one is enough…! No more Dhoom & Fast & Furious type movies? I think you are clever enough or stupid enough to know if that was the rule then Bollywood would have ceased production in the 70s and Hollywood would have been content with Star War movies of the 80’s and happily shut up shop. Stop trolling and accept facts that people want new story tellers, narrators, directors to give their own twist to an old age story.
