Bollywood’s superstar Aamir Khan, who completed his 25 years in filmdom this year, names “Titanic” star Leonardo DiCaprio and three-times Oscar-winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis as his favourite Hollywood actors.
“I like a few Hollywood stars. I tend to forget English names, I like Leonardo DiCaprio and Daniel Day-Lewis for ‘Lincoln’,” said the actor here at the screening of Hollywood film “The Star Trek Into Darkness” along with filmmaker-wife Kiran Rao, Sunday.
Aamir, who is shooting for two films “Dhoom 3″ and PeeKay” simultaneously, rues the fact that he rarely gets time to watch films and is happy to watch the recent Hollywood release, directed by JJ Abrams, which is the 12th installment of “Star Trek” franchise.
“I get to see film very rarely so I am happy that I am getting a chance to watch this film,” said the 48-year-old actor.

@Damnnn at least Aamir khan’s movie “Lagaan” was shortlisted in the final top 5 list from all around the globe which is almost like getting a Oscar which Srk can only dream off.The reason why “Lagaan” just failed to get Oscar was bcoz of another outstanding movie “No Mans Land”.But inspite of that “Lagaan” was watched by many big Producers,Directors,Actors of Hollywood which is a big achievement for any bollywood movie bcoz they generally don’t watch Bollywood movies.Post “Lagaan” the foreigners started watching Bollywood movies.

But alas, American Oscars or FilmFake Awards- hhhmmm hardly a contest considering the prestige and integrity of the Oscars that all great actors aspire such an Award.
I watch the Academy Awards and it will be a proud day if an Aamir film can again get shortlisted but you stick to watching the Filmfake Awards where Smeagol gets given awards for no apparent reason and without competition. If that fills you with pride then you really are a shallow individual.

Leo is my favourite too.@Sachin11, yeah I’ve seen No Mans Land.It’s a great movie & my favourite foreign movie(apart from hollywood).Agree with ur views on Lagaan, many foreigners liked it and you can get that from it’s IMDB page.Anyway Lagaan is too a great movie & one of mine all time favourite hindi movie.
Daniel Day-Lewis is my favourite actor too.

Aamir khan is actually the youngest actor in India to receive Padma Bhushan. Most people get it at age of70 or 80. He got it at 45!
