Ajay Devgn is all set to unveil the theatrical trailer of his ambitious directorial venture ‘Shivaay’. But after a major fall-out with Eros (who have backed out of the film) and crores at stake, ‘Shivaay’ will be up against Karan Johar’s 6th film as director ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ – which releases on the same day during the festive weekend of Diwali.
Talking about the clash, Ajay said “It doesn’t matter. Everyone wishes a solo release but I am more concerned about what I am doing and not concerned about what others are doing”
“There is no pressure or anything. Both films are of different genres and we have space for both to do well. I have friends there (in the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil camp) that it’s better to avoid the clash and that we shouldn’t arrive together. So now it is their call”
Talking about his own film, Ajay said “I don’t want to call it a masterpiece. I am bored of mediocre films that we’ve been making, so someone has to raise the bars. For this film I haven’t taken any films since past two years.. this needed a lot of passion” Ajay added.

I agree with Ajay. Two big films belonging to different genres can release on the same day. Indian theatres can accomodate two big movies.
It’s better to have lesser theatres packed to capacity than more theatres half occupied.
Moreover Indian audiences are getting smart. They will pay to watch the better movie.

Hrithik, and ajay are the only 2 superstars who have guts to face clash. Although I hate gobar, I still say that at least even a flop actor like him can also dare to rIsk his career by getting involved in a clash with superstars like hrithik and ajay. But then there is one coward decade strugglers flopstar whose career started since 2010 who is always afraid and scared to face clash like a Mard and Beggs other superstar to postpone his film. No need to guess who I am talking about. Yes. The same guy who u all guessed. Honestly I am a big fan of Ajay Devgan acting but this time I suppose its a unique period type story but the name and genere don’t match. And due to a neutral audience. I don’t understand trailer. Pure trailer mein sirf action hi dikh raha h… Story ka kahi pata nahi h…. But I will definitely watch it first day first show. I hope story achi ho…. Warna Ra.one type b ho sakta h…… Best of luck Ajay sir.

“Clash” is a media created term. Ajay did not mention the word “clash”. Back in the days nobody thought twice at releasing their film at the same time as other films.
There are only a set few holiday periods, “clashes” will sooner than rather become the norm again.
